Populations are about the same and one has a DNC Gov and the other a GOP Gov. FL is doing much much better than NY, going by the numbers they are willing to give us:

NY Pop 19.4 million
FL Pop 21.4

Covid cases NY 346,000
Covid deaths NY 22,304

Covid cases FL 44,139
Covid deaths FL 1,917

Death rate:
NY 6.4%
FL 4.3%

My state is the perfect example of what we have been talking about when it comes to the Covid death count, not everyone who died with the virus died because of the virus. CO lowered it's numbers from 1,150 to 878 because of that distinction. It should also be pointed out that my Gov is a Dem.

I can't believe I'm about to say this but... Gov. Polis has actually done a good job with the pandemic response. We were one of the first states to start opening up with a phased playbook and he has been working with the Feds in good faith. There was that ploy with the ventilators but he corrected that BS and stopped trying to play the same games other Dem Govs were. We opened up several weeks ago and we haven't seen a major increase in cases, hospitalizations or deaths. Much like Zardoz and the others have been hoping for. They want more death because they can use that against the President during an election season.

No they don't. Trump's response to the pandemic will be used against him but that doesn't mean that people who oppose him "want more deaths".

Look at it this way. The national shutdown has severely hurt many businesses. We hear stories of their understandable frustration on a daily basis. Many business owners have decided not to reopen at all and have left their employees jobless. But that doesn't mean that those calling for a full reopening of the economy as quickly as possible want more businesses to shut down so they can use it as an argument against a continued shut down.

That's exactly what they want and you can't prove other wise. I on the other hand have already proven what I claim with the over inflated death count and the gas-lighting about the antibody testing. The lower the death rate, the worse it looks for those pushing the blame on Trump.

You haven't "proven" anything. You've relied on various claims to back up your points but those claims themselves are likely to be revised. We're not out of this yet and we don't have all the facts.

It's a serious disease and can be expensive to treat even if it doesn't end in death. New things are still being discovered about the virus. Forget about how "it looks for those pushing the blame on Trump". The fact is, the USA has the most cases and the greatest spread of the disease. Other countries were able to manage the pandemic more successfully — and even those countries are seeing new clusters of infection.

The coronavirus continues to take a heavy toll on America and Americans, today we have 1,497,244 cases of coronavirus. Yesterday we had 1,472,743 cases of coronavirus. That means that an additional 24,501 Americans came down with coronavirus today. It just missed one million five hundred thousand. Not to worry it will exceed it tomorrow.

The death toll now stands at 89,420, yesterday it was 88,199. That means an additional 1,221 Americans died of coronavirus today.

Coronavirus continues to march across America like an invading army and the best we have to show for it is Trump telling people to drink bleach to protect themselves from coronavirus. We now have over one and a half million cases of coronavirus. It is hard to believe there was only one reported case of coronavirus in America a couple months ago. We now have 1,516,343 cases of coronavirus, yesterday we had 1,497,244. That means another 19,099 came down with coronavirus today.

The death toll has not crossed 90,000 but it will soon. The death toll today stands at 89,932 today, yesterday it was 89,420. That means another 512 Americans died today.

I just reports the facts about coronavirus it is important as more and more people begin to ignore the professional advice and take Dr. Trump advice to drink bleach to ward off the coronavirus. The CDC reports that it may be several weeks before the deaths that due to coronavirus are reported. So it will be weeks before the true body count is reported and it will be far higher than what is now being reported.

It is like we are in a nightmare and can’t wake up. Who would ever have imagined that in any pandemic that the United States would have nearly a third of all the cases of coronavirus in the world? You would have thought that it would be the third world countries in Africa that would have suffered the brunt of any pandemic. In fact, Africa has suffered many epidemics that never even made it to America but something was different this time. Trump was in charge, the man who went into business against himself building three casinos in a couple of blocks of each other. Trump believed that coronavirus was no worse than a common cold. Now Trump is taking one of his miracle cures to ward off coronavirus too bad he did not shoot up with bleach. Trump says what have you got to lose. Trump is taking zinc and hydroxychloroquine one of the possible side effects is death caused by affecting the heart rhythm. If coronavirus doesn’t get him his hair brained ideas might.

That particular live press conference was run hundreds of times where Trump gets the bright idea that studies showed that disinfectants kills coronavirus, people should take it internally. In fact two Trump voters took Trump's advice and drank bleach. I watched Trump live on television tell people to take disinfectant internally to kill coronavirus.

Trump is totally senile and he was so embarrassed by what an idiot he was he stopped his daily coronavirus updates after that hoping it would blow over.

You are right the death count is wrong but is far lower then it will be after all the autopsies are done and tissues samples are checked and this will take 6 months with the unexpected amount of deaths. The death toll will double. Many people are going to the emergency room being tested for coronavirus and told to go home to await the results They die at home. New York had another 5,000 deaths to add last week. The medical experts call this process back filling.

They don't need to stack up bodies all that need be done is to take tissue samples so that they can be tested later. You did notice all the refrigerated trucks New York had to store bodies in. Stored tissue samples were used in California to trace what they believed to the first cases of coronavirus in America, patient zero. It looks like you may be right about political manipulation of coronavirus numbers but the politicians are pressuring to lie and to make the numbers lower. A woman in charge of Florida's coronavirus website used to report coronavirus cases and deaths was fired today because she refused to manually falsify the numbers. Tourist states want to lie about the actual number of coronavirus cases and deaths so the high numbers won't discourage tourists.

Russia and Brazil have now moved into second and third on the list of countries with the most coronavirus cases. Of course, we have a tremendous lead with 1,581,903 to Russia’s 308,705. We have five times as many cases of coronavirus as Russia. Yesterday we had 1,558,631 cases of coronavirus. That means another 23,272 Americans came down with coronavirus today.

The death toll now stands at 93,806, yesterday it stood at 92,258. That means another 1,548 Americans died today of coronavirus.
