@margo,
Lol! I was thinking of Nicky....as in Old Nick.

You never know until you meet them.

I am hoping two kittens can share quarters and keep the prices down?

Apparently Cornish Rex are so active that they eat like horses....so maybe not. Maybe if I provide the food?

Does striking mean yeccchhh? It's all right...you can tell me....my friends already have.

@dlowan,
Lara has a wonderful little face too!

Her expression is a little dreamier though. Domonic is very present. I can't quite tell if he's a smarty-pants or a little goofy.

Only so much you can tell from a photo though.

@sozobe,
Just kidding. These mothers, you have to be careful.

Lara is in the middle of a cat smile...they blink and sort of smirk a bit when they smile.

I just love the look on the face of the little fella beneath Domonic,

That and Darcy looks like tawny frog mouth.

@dlowan,
Miranda made it through her third execution date last Monday.

I was supposed to be doing 3 outback trips in a row and I just didn't want to put her through 3 weeks of boarding in 6 weeks.

Then they decided I would not make the middle trip.

I thought she was going down when I dropped her off, and I still see a difference in her coat and energy level...but, as ever, after being salined, she seems very happy.

Meanwhile (gibber) the breeder is keen to arrange transport of the kittens in the next 2 to 3 weeks.

Since I will be about to go out bush again right then, I will bargain for 4 weeks...round the 21st to 23rd of May.

What the SMEG!!!!

@msolga,
Ok...kittens due on 21st May (breeder gezumped me on asking if she could keep them a bit longer by saying she wants to dispatch all kittens to their respective homes on the same day, as the drive to the airport is so difficult for her.)

This will be the day after I get back from next outback trip, so I will have to have a back-up plan for getting the kittens picked up in case we get6 stuck.

Meanwhile, Miranda looking very well!

In fact, I have discovered she is very happy if I roust her a bit...(rousting in our odd shared vocabulary meaning playing a little roughly with her...like pushing her over onto her side and insisting on tickling her tummy and such-like....she glares up at me indignantly, and then follows me around asking for more so she can glare at me again!

I am in cat hell!

@sozobe,
Yes...but the trick is for right intensity and AMOUNT of rousting.

Sigh.

@sozobe,
Lol! I doubt the universe gives a flying ferk.

I got myself into this...I just hope i can ensure neither Miranda nor the kittens suffer!

I am hoping against hope that she will enjoy them.

You are indeed, Deb!
Oh my goodness, what a pickle! (too bad about the the timing of your outback trip, you'll most likely be pretty tired after that.)
Good luck, I wish you well! Smile

@msolga,
Ok...this is sweet.

I happened to be home today (nursing my bloody bronchitis because i have to go bush again soon) and the phone rang.

It was my vet's!

One of the nurses said they had been wondering how Miranda was, so they called to find out!!

She was blinking at me ecstatically from her perch in the sun and looking very happy and well indeed at the time.

That is very cute, isn't it?

She really is amazingly resilient, Deb.
I think she resists dying because she's so well looked after by you.
What more could she possibly ask for?
All that love and attention, she's perfectly content for the time-being.

@msolga,
The Kittens Are Coming, though.

Goddess help us, how will she cope?

I think she's just tough.
