I can name several that are unaware there is a constitutional right. In fact there are probably millions that oppose the mosque that would unaware there is a right for them to build there.
That is interesting, because just today I was watching MSNBC talking to teaparty people about it, and you know that MSNBC has a strong liberal bias so they are going to do what they can to make teapartiers look as stupid as possible...I did not hear a single person claim that there was not a constitutional right to build this monstrosity. I have read probably 100 views on this from Yahoo News and Google and I cant remember a single claim of lack of Constitutional rights.

if they put a synagogue, a church and a Buddhist temple in it then maybe we could have a conversation, though I still pretty much believe that what is required in a sister project with a church in Riyadh before this project would become good for America..

@hawkeye10,
This is "supposed" to be the US of A where religious freedom is supposed to exist. Not according to the majority of Americans - all ignorant of our own Constitution.

Foofie, Being a veteran doesn't make you more American. You need to learn what constitutes an American; many do not serve in our military, but they have the same freedoms, legal rights, and opportunities afforded to all. You still haven't memorized "all men are created equal." There is no such thing as "more American."

I was talking about in the opinion of "some" people. Your emphasis on one's Constitutional rights did not keep Japanese out of internment camps. So, you need to parse the wording of my posts.

And with that freedom comes the duty to act responsibly, to do what you can to coexist with others.

You Liberals love to talk about rights and freedom, but never about responsibilities, You seem to understand exactly one half half of the equation, which is not good enough.

Sue me. But there are plenty of facts for my defense on a2k if we ever get to a court of law to show your ignorance.

Stop with the silly talk. You do not know me, so saying I feel superior to everyone is just character assassination, since it would be very hard for me to apply for a job, if a prospective boss read your wild accusation about me.

Yes. Families of NYC police and firemen are a privileged class. Thank God you understand.

They are? On what basis?

On their risking their lives on a daily basis to protect the citizens of NYC, many of them being ingrates for that service.

So everyone of those people said they have that right?

Most people that are unaware of something don't talk about it at all so your observation doesn't dispute my statement at all.

Not as I understand it. It will be a community center for Muslims, I thought? Where did you get your information?

It does exist. No one is telling you what to believe. No one is having anyone admit to any faith before a head is cut off (i.e., David Pearl).

The families sacrificed a member of their families that died on 9/11, as first responders. For a fireman or policeman to function at his or her job, one must have a support system, commonly referred to as "family."

No no no, anyone can come, but I would like to point out that anyone can come to most Churches as well. The aim to to make it a place to sell the message that Muslims are equal with Christians, and anyone is willing to put up with the sales pitch is welcome to show up.

Then let the said churches apply for a permit to build their structure. Don't you think they would have done that if another building was necessary?

Do you propose to export Christian Americans to fill the church that you suggest be built in Riyadh?

Yes, Dorothy, there is a Santa Claus! Now, what festive holiday do Muslims SHARE with non-Muslims? Chanukkah? No, that is a Jewish holiday that seems to be merging with Christmas in some urban settings. I give up; give me the answer.

Do they get paid for this service? Do they receive a nice paycheck at the end of the week?
