White House Pushes Back on Congress Probes - July 6, 2007 - The New York Sun

Quote:
"They've launched over 300 investigations, had over 350 requests for documents and interviews, and they have had over 600 oversight hearings in just about 100 days," Mr. Stanzel said. "So that's about six oversight hearings a day."

Call them what you want, yet quoting someone out of context is still wrong.

Remember the line Kerry threw out and was quoted out of context? The "stuck in Iraq" one? Yeah... had fun with that, didn't ya?

Now... since (and Rush!) have put 'phony' and 'soldiers together, let me say four words to the Right: Jessica Lynch, Pat Tillman.

Not saying these soldiers (or any soldier) is "phony"... but the stories that the admin concocted... wow.

Well said Aaron and if the Republican party had the moral servitude to have held chaney and Bush accountable for the mess they have made of this country I would have real respect for them. Had they done that I might re register as a Republican. As it is I will not be voting for a Republican for a long long time. just can't trust them. They say one thing on the campaign trail and then do another when in office. Granted democrats do some of the same , but most of the time they do not claim the moral high ground.

This amounts to them being liars.:thumbdown:

I see my posts concerning Rush Limbaugh were pulled...as I had called him drugged out, and S.O.T.E.....so let's see you all can call Hitlery, everything but a child of God, and I can't call Rush out of his name? hmmm..more do as I say, not as I do. Ne c'est pas?

@aaronssongs,
Aaron sweetie you must be tired. I think your posts are all here, unless you posted something I did not read yesterday.

@aaronssongs,
If you don't like what Limbaugh says, don't tune to his program. I agree that what he said was partisan hackery and distasteful, but that's why my radio has pre-sets. I chose Dave Ramsey over Limbaugh today, and every other day I'm in my truck around lunch time. One of the pain in the ass things about freedom is that it applies to everybody. Sucks huh?

I agree. I say quite a bit that pisses people off. The station that I'm on is owned by an ultra-conservative bushie lover and we lock horns all the time.

What that does is create listeners. That is what I assume Rush is doing. The press he has received on this is the greatest publicity of all. FREE.

His ratings were slipping and his listenership has been dropping over the last year or so and I'm quite sure that it has rebounded this past week.

You got that right fed up american.

Look at Ann Coulter she lives on insults . I swear Don Rickles could have been her father, except she's too tall.

Rush did this on purpose.

ok, back on topic...

freedom of speech... freedom of the press....

take those away, and america sucks.

While i don't necessarily agree with the comments, getting congress to alter the bill of rights over it is simply absurd.

I agree....if we start saying you can't bad mouth soldiers, then it's presidents and elected officials...let people make whatever! ass of themselves they want....let them talk....

And just because you said he was quoted out of context, don't make it so.
I'd sooner believe the soldier who called him out, than his lying, drugged out, cowardly self. With so many calling for his head...it's just a matter of time before he is 'Imus'ed". High time and good riddance it will be.

If you had heard the entire program and not just the 5 min. you would of known Rush was quoted out of context. However, if it makes you feel better to believe a lie so be it. And the one's that were calling for Rush's head are mainly liberal Democrats who's hate like yours, blinds them to what is true. And it was the solider in question, the main person Rush was pointing out that was the real liar, and it took a court appearence by him to show the reality of that. And that man was found to be both a liar, and guilty.

You believe what you want to believe...and I'll believe what I want to.
I'd sooner believe a lying soldier, who has nothing to gain, than a drugged out, conservative talk show host, who has his own demons (drugs , gluttony), who has become a freak show, much like Britney Spears....no one cares too much anymore...its' been more than 15 minutes...and we're tired, already.
Oh, and don't say liberal Democrat like it's an indictment, or vulgar...I couldn't be more proud of the title. Better than soulless Republicans, who love money and power, and nothing else.

When the Democratic party went to war to stop the Republicans from freeing the slaves, and now when the Democratic party supports a mothers right to murder her unborn child by abortion, you are right. The Democrats cannot claim the moral high ground.

Remember it was the soulless Republicans who freed the slaves. And it was my Republican great great grandfather who took a musket ball in the foot from one of those low life Democrats. And now it is the soulless Republicans again who are trying to get laws passed to stop the slaughter of the unborn. If Republicans just love money, then Democrats must love the buckets of Blood coming from the sixty million American children their laws help to murder. Yeah, that's a history you can be proud about.

Wow campbell

Brother you need to check the hate and revenge you are harboring in your heart. Really it is unbecoming for a christian like yourself.

The only way I could see her conception is if it were between Satan and that lady from The Weakest Link, and she huffed nitrous oxide and smoked crack all the way up to the birth.
