@Volunteer,
Youre right. When do we give up to the communists so they can teach us a lesson about democracy now?

@Volunteer,
Reag... do you see communism as evil? I think you might actually enjoy the ACTUAL blue prints for communism. I think it is much what Jesus described as how we should live.

Unfortunately there is no TRUE communism nor has there ever been any TRUE communism. (Russia was not truly communist)

For communism to work, you need a financialy stable and self sufficient country to then become communist. Prior to the stock market crash so many years ago, the united sates could have made an excenllent go at it.

Scooby. Who were the voters. Was it actually a democratic vote, or was it Like Iraq prior to the US overthrow of sadam.

Rember Sadam ws elected to his post every few years too with 100% of the vote each time.

Ever read Orwell's 'Animal Farm?' No matter how good the intentions of communism are, it has the government in a huge amount of control, and people are people, and imperfect, and people run the government. So, it's pretty easy for people in a communist government to take control and have power for themselves, originally well-intentioned or not.

@Volunteer,
This guy was first elected to office with less than 35 % of the vote, and then tried to make his state communist, was over thrown and killed himself.

does that mean to say he was a communist dictator,saddam was very good friends with the REAGAN GOVERNMENT in the 80s,dont you remember the infamous rumsfield handshake with saddam in 1984,after saddam had slaughtered thousands of kurds,which was brought up at his trial.

It is a crime that your educators did not offer this book to you for your consideration. It is a very short book.

This is one thing the charter of the Bible Party means when it states that education should be content based.

A nation's people must have a common frame of reference if that nation is to prosper. In my K-12 we were required to read and dicsuss classic literature. Classic literature is that which coveys the state of man (and woman) and man's (and woman's) common experience. The purpose of this education is to prepare children for life as contributing citizens who are able to communicate from a common ground/foundation of knowledge.
