That voice, that voice that get's in your head...who is it?

Here's 4 to get us started....

Bella Dea = Debra Messing

djjd (or however you spell it, you know who I mean) = Tom Hanks

Not that yells at all, but he would be the one to make the rule that there's no crying in baseball.

david

well, this is just how he sounds in my head....

wandell

carl sagan....very calming voice

@chai2,
Thanks, Chai, I am flattered. Carl Sagan is one of my heroes. I wish I sounded so dignified.

A few A2Kers have met me and can tell you how monotonous my actual voice is.

@wandeljw,
I've met you and ... don't remember your voice except being good sounding, possibly speaking in a considered way. I'm famous to myself for being monotonal (to kill me, just post a tape of my saying anything - I sound both snotty and boring. And besides, I can't sing.)

@ossobuco,
Thanks, osso, you are being kind. Gargamel or joefromchicago probably would describe it differently.

(Osso's voice is soft but cheerful. Actually, her voice reminds me of my daughter's pediatrician. A good voice for comforting patients.)

My mental image of Joe Nations voice is Jean Shepherd in one of his monologues. See f I can find one.

@chai2,
Thank u, Chai.
I loved mine; u must have worked hard on all that editing.
I earnestly hope that u have Also Sprach Zarathustra playing
behind my voice in your mind, when I speak.

I bawt the movie on videotape.
Co-incidentally, in the 1970s, I read that book to a friend
of mine who has bad eyesight (legally blind) and
I had an oral presentation of 2001: A Space Odyssey
comparing the book to the movie that was very well received.

I also loved that piece from Carl Sagan. I downloaded it.
Come to think of it, I shoud get his Cosmos Series on DVD.
We all shoud.

@wandeljw,
Not kind, that's what I thought. You were fairly quiet, but made good sense when you talked, and your voice didn't jar.

Trying to imagine Garg's voice..

I think of joefrom's voice as being formed by wit, as in, listen up.. we met a couple of times, and I don't have sound memory, just tone..

On pediatrician, way to go, I used to wanna be a doctor...

I definitely have a voice in my head...but it's kind of inchoate.

All I know is it's NEVER anything like the voice of the actual people if I get to speak with them.

Robert, for instance, although I KNEW intellectually he was male and USian, had a voice in my head like some sort of mid-Atlantic sprite....it knocked me for six when he was really a man.

The other USians I have spoken to were WAY too AMERICAN!

I portray Dlowan's voice as a posh English Victorian lady...

@dlowan,
Time for me to mention Kara - known elsewhere as karateka..
Her voice is a delight for the ears, intelligence with a bit of lilt. I'm imagining our conversation, her, lilt, me, drone, and back and forth. Laughter being the leavening.

Somewhat the same for me with Noddy. Noddy elegant and a little soft for me to hear. Our both keeping talking past all that.
