@chai2,
No not whiney.

More....matter a fact and independent. And always truthful. You just won't allow someone to not hear you. Smile And that's why we love you.

@sozobe,
Depends on where folk might like.

I'd thought New York and possibly New Mexico so far....depends on how the money holds out.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Where in the US?

She's talking to the Tsar, woman! So it's obviously going to be New York, or better yet New Jersey. And I do mean obviously.

boomer, you have a real talent for this!

yes, Joe Nation = Johnny Carson

I admire Dolly Parton so much, I think she's just a wonderful person.
She genuine and kind, funny and smart.

She is like mismi.

@dlowan,
Columbus, OH, is the absolute must-see-est place in the US! Seriously! It has, um, stuff. Oh and a really nice zoo!

AND -- it's pretty much smack-dab in the middle of everything. So if there were to be the mother of all "let's meet the Bunny!" gatherings, it'd be a good place to hold it. Just saying.

(NYC, I could maybe get there if need be...)

@sozobe,
You want me to come to America to find Columbus?

There's something doesn't seem quite right about that sentence.....I can't quite pick it...

I have a friend who looks almost exactly like that.
I used to date his wife, Carrie. Thay were soon divorced.
He moved from NY to Arizona, where he remains.

We meet a few times a year at the Mensa Annual Gathering and
at Mensa Regional Gatherings and enjoy dining at the best restaurants
of the host city of the Gathering. He is running (was running?)
for election to the Arizona House of Representatives.
We share similar ideological views, except that his support
for the 2nd Amendment exceeds mine.

(Sorry: I forgot how to post the Youtube image, like boomer did.)

Doesn't everyone sound Australian? Wink
I was in Austrailia in the 1980s.
In Melbourne, walking thru a park, I asked for directions
to a lake from a teenage boy and girl.
As I left, I heard the girl making fun of how I had pronounced the word: "lake".

Apparently, she wanted it pronounced as if it had an i in the middle of it.

My ear hears differences between people from the Bronx and Queens, Brooklyn, and parts of Manhattan. I haven't heard enough people from Staten Island to make a determination one way or the other.
