@tsarstepan,
I can't chase back what I was riffing off. I didn't mean to insult you, msolga.

Some misunderstanding going on..
I meant
classy..
@Francis,
Oh definitely classy, Francis!
@ossobuco,
No problem at all , osso.

Lol! It used to be a lot "classier". I was brung up very proper, and have gone downhill ever since..including having a much broader Australian accent than I used to have!
@engineer,
While I thought Hal was a good approximation of the David in my head,the more I thought about, the more I thought a rather elderly conservative male would sound a bit like the Pepperidge Farm man:

I have an Osso and a Roberta that live in the neighborhood and come to the Clubhouse at least once a week to meet up for poker, Mah Jong or a lunch outing. I love getting to hear them in real life. (Or, as I picture they would sound and behave in real life.) They know nothing of the real Osso and Roberta, but I, having this mental connection, tend to get a real kick out of having them stop by.
@wandeljw,
I thought Carl Sagan was a good match for you.
Maybe we should all record ourselves reading a post or script and provide links. (Or maybe that would spoil the illusion.)
Oh, and Ms. Olga has a very up beat Felix voice without the sharpness. A feminine Felix with an Aussie accent, perhaps.
DLowan is a young Bonnie Franklin, common sensical, smart and funny with a hint of Aussie behind the sheepy sounds of her "meh's."
@engineer,
Either that, or it would be "very amusing."
I think Walter Hintler would have a very amusing sort of jolly sounding Arte Johnson accent while Thomas would have a PBS sort of voice, a narrator's baritone.
Francis sounds like Pierce Brosnan. I know the accent isn't right, but its the ear, dammit. The handsome ear speaks to me.
@plainoldme,
I 'm
not from New England,
tho my ancestry is from Old England.
I am a New Yorker.
David
@squinney,
Did I ever tell you I love you?
@ossobuco,
Francis will have a very polite voice that I will struggle to understand but gradually get. I will constrain my own flibbertygibbety talk to speak well back to him. Which may annoy him, and then, after that, we could just talk.

Ahhh. Hope you know it's mutual.
I can't always accomplish the video imbed thing... My Omsig impersonation:

@squinney,
I'm not tracking down videos, but your husband sounds like Robin Williams - except Robin doesn't talk so fast.
@OmSigDAVID,
It's not the accent, it's the conservatism, the tight control and the uptight self-righteousness. I wonder how he (their spokesmodel) spells?
Would okie sound like Gomer Pyle?
