I, like RH, think it will get reversed.
Selig says "No reversal."
@realjohnboy,
he's a monkey in a suit.
I miss having a "real" commissioner.
In an effort to help the kid get over this slight by MLB, we have made him a Squirrel once again.
(for at least a week)
(ok, 5 days)
Tico's damn rookie "catcher" just gave up 4 unearned runs against my pitcher.
the Giants sometimes don't score 4 in a week...
ok.
my shortstop just homered with my 2nd baseman aboard. new game. 4-4.
Rhys is going to beat us this week...
yahoo is pissing me off.
they show my guy in the starting line-up, but he is not.
second time this week.
anybody else having this glitch?
@Rockhead,
Me, today, that's why you gotta check twice.
It was a fine first performance tonight by Osso/Desert Dog's new pitcher. Rookie Stephan Strasburg (SP-Washington) made his major league debut. He went 7 innings, gave up 4 hits and 2 runs (including a home run). He struck out 14 (which by my math is 2 per inning). He threw 94 pitches, 65 of which were strikes.
Well done!
He was worth keeping him stashed on your roster for six weeks, Osso.
But can he keep it up as hitter's decipher his pitching?

If you're talking about Samson, he was a late scratch due to left oblique soreness.
@realjohnboy,
I'm glad he's on Osso's team. I was afraid I'd let him get picked up by the 'Necks.
@Ticomaya,
what a pain in the ass...
(left ass)
wait till Pancho sees what Matt Thornton did to his team ERA.
thornton's line tonight.
.1 inning pitched.
135.00 ERA
15.00 WHIP
and a Loss.
makes me feel fambulous about my guys crappo pitching tonight...
and a blown save.
that's gonna leave a mark...
@realjohnboy,
that he struck out the last 7 batters he faced with all that hype and media attention is all the more impressive...
Minnesota has a kid going tonight i've not seen before.
Trevor Plouffe. (non-hitting SS)
that musta been hell growing up...
Stephen Strasburg (SP-Washington-Osso) gets his 2nd start of the season just a few minutes from now.
@realjohnboy,
I've got the notorious kid Galarraga going at home today against the buccos.
his stuff is less than most of my guys (low Ks) but he is doing his job so far against the rednecks...
@Rockhead,
Strasburg goes 5.1 innings, strikes out 8 and ends with the win and ERA of 1.69.
It is looking like Osso made a good investment.
One of my catchers, Yorvit Torrealba (5'11" in height, 2oo lbs, 32 years old, from Venezuela) touched an ump during a dispute about a pitch that may or may not have been a 3rd strike. Suspended, Yorvit will probably be for a few games.
I have no point to make in reporting that. I just thought yall - Rockhead, Tico et al should be careful.
That's it.
@realjohnboy,
Thank you for the update, RJB. Lucky you have 3 catchers.
Although I'm sure luck has nothing to do with it.
