The 'Necks have been napping.
But now they are snapping
From way back in eleven
To now up to seven.
Huh. Comes now the rapping!

@realjohnboy,
thinking to myself how thankful I am that we play a non-rapping jespah and friends this week.

the Mets are shelling Sabathia.

my sympathies to the skoalmen and women...

seed is still trying to ruin my week.

@Rockhead,
Yep, much shuffling. I saw I moved up one slot m'self. I may still have a losing record, at least it's, er, less losing. I can about guarantee that you will have more innings pitched than I will.

@jespah,
I'm thinking so too.

you do realize the the guys with the little red DL thingies next to them are resting, yes?

who plays with three starting pitchers? sheesh...

After the desert running dogs meltdown, the standings are beginning to look as they usually do.
Does that mean a Tampa Bay meltdown in the real league is coming soon? Or a Cinci or a Nats or a Padres meltdown?

I see that my SP Tim Wakefield threw 8 scoreless innings on Sunday against the Phillies. He gave up 5 hits and 2 walks. The manager said, according to the Boston Herald, that he left it up to Wakefield whether to pitch the 9th - and possibly get the shut-out and complete game. Wakefield, who had thrown 103 pitches, took himself out.

@Rockhead,
3 starting pitchers also tends to equal fewer losses (except for last week, an odd exception).

@realjohnboy,

wake is the ultimate team player.
the only reason he's starting is bcos beckett's on the shelf.
he is not happy with the bullpen demotion, but you won't hear him complaining.
how many other players would ask off a world series roster so a teammate recovering from cancer could take his place?

@Region Philbis,
I certainly wasn't faulting Tim, Region. 103 pitches is getting to the max for any pitcher. It would have been cool for my 'Necks to get the CG and SO. But I respect his concluding that he was running out of gas.

Not related to baseball, but I'm taking missus Tico and the little Ticos to the Suns vs. Lakers playoff game tonight. If you watch the game on TV, look for me in one of those fancy little luxury suite thingies they got there at the arena, 'cause that's where I'll be!!! Woo hoo!

@Ticomaya,
How did you pull off getting tickets to that, Tico?

That was a great game! Los Suns!

My firm got them, RJB. Suite box is the only way to watch a game. (Nope ... no Miller High Life in sight.)

@Ticomaya,
What great game for a Suns fan!
If the Lakers don't wake up and play some D, Phx could take this.

I'm playing Alex this week, but it looks like the Flying Squirrels are so desperate to take over the lead they sent an agent to interfere with Mr. Rodriguez' and Mr. Cano's game versus the Twins yesterday:

@Ticomaya,

that critter had a cujo-like glazed look in it's beady little eyes.
obviously rabid, charging the 3B's feet like that.

(thanx for the clip -- watching A-Roid strike out never gets old...)
