@emshae,
Well, step one: Make friends with a boy. Make that happen and we talk more Smile

@emshae,
trust me, you know how to flirt. All girls know how to flirt. It's in the genes.

@emshae,
I see that you're homeschooled -- do you have other opportunities to socialize beyond 4-H?

Are you at all interested in the male friend you have? If not, (and you're reasonably confident that he's not interested in you because it would be cruel if so), would you feel comfortable asking him to introduce you to some of HIS friends?

Have you run into guys you're interested in and you just can't get things to date level, or have you just not even met possible candidates?

4-H + Indiana = square-dancing, right???

Can you get cozy during a do-si-do?

@emshae,
Well, first, how important is he as a friend? If things progress to romance -- or if you make it clear that you're interested in him and he's not interested in you -- you could lose the friendship.

Is he really your friend separately from his sister, or do you all kind of hang out in a group?

How big of an age difference is there?

(Sorry to keep answering questions with questions, but this kind of thing really depends on specifics.)

Is he at all interested in you?

He may not be interested in his little sister's friend.
