@OmSigDAVID,
SEED "I played a bad joke on a donkey once. Got kicked square in the chest. Thrown back about 15 feet. Good times" these are his words to me.

@emshae,
One extraordinarily simple and good solution:

Learn to speak Mandarin Chinese, and move to China.

Due to the effects of the one-child-per-family law over the past 20 - 30 years, China is now simply missing somewhere between around 25,000,000 and 60,000,000 women. You should have an easy enough time with those odds.

@gungasnake,
Brings up something I heard on NPR's This American Life. It was on the topic of love and it was along the lines of:

Quote:
It's hard to believe that there is one person out there for me. And if there is only one person, it will be my luck that they speak Chinese

O, my goodness! That 's terrible.
I hope he 's feeling better.
My impression of Seed from A2K is that he is an admirable, honorable man.

@OmSigDAVID,
David, this was many years ago, I was at most 15 years old.

Uh, I hope emshae caught that point about Seed being 15 when he messed with the donkey. Too funny! That story just perfectly describes most 15 year old boys!

We luv ya, Seed!

Emshae...the above poster was right when she said you'll have much better luck looking for what you want from girl friends than boys. But boys are good for a few other things...Wink

I get you on that..

Seed is cool. Of course my saying so will strip him of cool.

He is correct though that we like written english here (we put up with David, for various reasons including his being bright).

A theme here: more socializing, with boys or girls or both at the same time = GOOD.

Who has been homeschooling you? The mom that you don't really get along with? I'm really not generally anti-homeschooling and see some people doing it well but that's exactly the sort of situation that makes me itch. You're young to have to take this in hand -- usually just showing up at school takes care of about 90% of it -- but it sounds like more socializing would benefit you, a lot.

@ossobuco,
it boils down to the fact that you can't get a significant other unless you have friends.
