Interesting.

Yeah ... interesting.

But does that make me question my own picking of Baltimore ...?

You're damn right it does.

@Ticomaya,
I'm eager to see what the effect is of resting starters in the last two games and
then going on a bye week. We'll find out Saturday.

Yes .. I hope the answer is they "lost their edge".

I'm also a little peeved that the Cowboys played their last game on Saturday, and play Sunday this week, yet the Cardinals played their last game on Sunday and have to play on Saturday this week. That's not right!

Dallas is on a roll. I may have erred in not picking them to win. It could be my dislike for them that made me do that. I will not change anything now.

@edgarblythe,
I feel you are right as well. Though sometimes, I pick people to lose out of hatred for the team. And in all the years that I have ever watched or liked football, I have hated the Cowboys. It's not the team, it's the fans. And they are the ones that will always make me root against them.

And how!
As far as the team goes, they seem to be on a roll with all the momentum behind them. I think they'll roll over the Vikes, who are going into the game in a half-assed fashion and a week rusty, and go on to beat New Orleans again.

@ehBeth,
Please join us, Infrablue, with your picks. I agree that Dallas is under-represented in our picks here. We are 17-9 in choosing Minn over Dallas this weekend and only Mysteryman and Gargamel have them winning the following weekend. No one is predicting Dallas will win the Super Bowl.

@Rockhead,
Yep, might be little rust (per Rocko), a little loss of edge (as Tico puts it).

The other side of the coin (as I continue mixing metaphors) is that the Ravens
came down like a wolf on the fold against the Patriots. Maybe they felt that
that victory validated them. Maybe they will have lost their edge.

I'm looking forward to this game.

@Seed,
I kind-of feel that way about Obama and his supporters.

I voted for Obama; but through clinched teeth because of his supporters.

@InfraBlue,
Very good, InfraBlue. Welcome. So far you are the only player picking the Cowboys. If others join you, I will need your prediction of the final score in the Super Bowl game.

Additional players are welcome. Deadline is the kickoff of the 1st game on Saturday.

Good evening from Cville where we got up to 58 degrees today. We melted a lot of the now gray snow left over from the storm a month ago.
27 players have made picks in the 4 Divisional games starting in less than 24 hours. Rockhead and EhBeth have promised to come in. I am still waiting on the likes of Sozobe, Panzade and Fbaezer.
And anyone else is welcome to play, of course.

We have 8 different arrangements of picks this weekend:
Picking the Saints, Colts, Vikings and Chargers are (9): Miz Cowdoc, McGentrix, Maporsche, Cowdoc, Region, Tsarstepan, Edgar, Clubber and Jespah.
Going for the Saints, Colts, Cowboys and Chargers (7): Infrablue, Wandeljw,
Rhyss, Liontamerx, Spendius, Mysteryman and Gargamel.
Then things really start to splinter into smaller and smaller minorities:
Choosing the Cardinals, Colts, Vikings and Chargers (3): Imur, OccomBill and Johnboy.
Betting on the Saints, Ravens, Vikings and Chargers (2): George and Alex.
On the bandwagon for the Saints, Colts, Vikings and Jets (2): Seed and Cyclops.
Relatively confident about the Cardinals, Ravens, Cowboys and Chargers (2):
Tico and Osso.
Selecting the Saints, Ravens, Vikings and Jets is Djjd.
And thinking the Saints, Colts, Cowboys and Jets is JPB.

I think I got this right.
