@spendius,
I'm sure I'll be here, and quite possibly the Miz as well. I don't think I can do a whole lot worse than I did in the regular season.

A very small one if you don't mind. Umm... yeah ... I wouldn't want to financially bankrupt you Tico considering your already blindsided by your foolish delusions of Cardinal love!

The AFC is going to come down to the Colts or the Chargers for the AFC title.
They will play in Indianapolis and the winner of that game will win the Super Bowl.

I predict San Diego wins it all.

I'll be the first one to tell it all:

AFC wild card games:
New England over Baltimore
NY Jets over Cincinatti (the Bengals have long lost their momentum)

NFC wild card games:
Green Bay over Arizona (may Tico cry)
Dallas over Philadelphia (the Eagles are Cowboy clients)

AFC playoffs:
Indianapolis over Jets (who'll have to face the starters all game long)
San Diego over New England

NFC playoffs:
Green Bay over New Orleans (a question of momentum, again)
Dallas over Minnesota (reason says otherwise, but it's the only way to prevent a Packer meltdown against Favre in the Metrodome)

AFC championship game:
San Diego over Indianapolis
Green Bay over Dallas (Romo will finally be back to his normal self)

Superbowl:
San Diego over Green Bay (heart says otherwise, but the Chargers are currently the best team in American football)

@fbaezer,
I am afraid I have screwed up already, Pancho.

Here is the schedule for the wild card games next weekend:
AFC - 1/9:
(1) NY Jets @ Cincinnati Bengals ... the winner will be _________
AFC - 1/10:
(2) Baltimore Ravens @ New England Patriots ... winner ___________
NFC - 1/9:
(3) Philadelphia Eagles @ Dallas Cowboys ... winner __________
NFC - 1/10:
(4) Green Bay Packers @ Arizona Cardinals ... winner __________

The winners of those 4 games will play 1 of the 2 teams in their division with a bye this week. But who plays whom will be determined by a system that is too complicated to explain here.
Suffice it to say that players here will have to come back after the games on 1/10 and before the games on 1/16 for one final round of picking.

Sorry for the confusion.

@fbaezer,
I agree with fb but I have to figure some way to disagree and not be a copy cat. Off to study sand granules.

The NFL regular season is over. For the next month there will be playoff games, culminating in the Super Bowl XLIV game on Feb 7th.
There will be much discussion around water coolers after each weekends' games and you will be left standing there with a frozen half-smile and a glazed look in your eyes, perhaps, because you don't know anything about football.

WE CAN HELP YOU! The A2K Road To The Superbowl Game game is back for another year. You can actually say something that will cause your co-workers to pause and think to themselves: "D*mn! He/she knows football."

PARTICIPATION IS REALLY EASY! Painless, in fact. No registration on ESPN or Yahoo. No having to come back each of the 4 weeks.
STEP 1: The 4 Wildcard games occur this coming weekend, Jan 9th and 10th.
Pick the winners and post them here. It can be as simple as "NYJ, NE, Phil, Ariz"
STEP 2: Come back between 1/10 and 1/16 and pick the rest of the way through.
5 minutes total...tops.

If you think you might play, please let us know so we can plan how many chairs to set up at the Awards Banquet*.

*The part about "Big, Big Prizes" and an "Awards Banquet" is totally bogus. You would have to be really gullible to believe that.
Did you know, by the way, that the word "gullible" is not in the dictionary?
Look it up.

As it turns out, 3 of the 4 Wild Card games will be rematches from Week #17 last Sunday.
For what it is worth:
The NYJ shut out the Bengals 37-0 in NY. This week they are in Cincy.
The Packers crushed the Cardinals 33-7 in Arizona. Back in AZ this week.
The Cowboys goose-egged* the Eagles 24-0 and they will play again in Dallas.

Much earlier in the season the Patriots topped the Ravens 27-21 on NE's field. Back in NE this weekend.

*"goose-egged?
