@jerin0121,
I might do that myself when the temperatures get about 15 degrees warmer - and if I have time.

Welcome to a2k, jerinO

@jerin0121,
Ive been back wqlking my creek trqil since about September. I like walking in the woods over running along our back country roads. I lik to keep my eyes open to nature while Im on my jaunts.

I go running once a week. Mostly on Sundays for approximately 6.5km (4 miles) which takes me 45 minutes.

I do this as supplement to body weight exercises which I do four to five times a week. I read here that a person goes for a walk every evening after dinner. I think this is a great habit and I will try to adopt it.

@helmi15,
Jogged on the treadmill yesterday:
34 minute 5k. Not too happy with this time (two weeks in a row). At least I didn't bail out of going to the gym as I was on the verge of doing so yesterday.

The NYC Pizza Run Combines A 5K With Slice Scarfing
Quote:
But each year since 2009, the NYC Pizza Run has challenged that idea, daring fleet footed pizza lovers to run a multi-mile distance while stopping along the way to scarf down some slices. Astonishingly, race organizers say nobody has blown chunks attempting this activity.

@tsarstepan,
Can't really run these days (knees) - mainly trying to find time to walk.

I mashed my right foot on a rock while trail running over the Independence
Day weekend. It took a while to get it back to normal (i.e. not swollen and
sore). Now I am trying to build my running fitness back up. It's going slowly
to put it mildly. Yesterday I went for a mile-and-a-half run with Two-Mile
Mike. Mike sets a remarkably steady pace. We were doing 10-minute miles,
which seemed okay at the start, but by the time we had gone one mile, I
was sucking wind. I had to slow down to a walk for a bit.

I've got work to do.

Nothing wrong with walking. It's all about level of effort.

@tsarstepan,

what if you do the race cold turkey, and then double back for a slice or three?

surely they wouldn't disqualify you for not eating during...
