@maporsche,
Welcome to the club, maporsche! Good luck recovering from your surgery, and the half marathon.

@maporsche,
Welcome, and I hope you're better soon.

Not much running here except on a treadmill (it's too snowy, still, and there are a lot of places that aren't shoveled).

Thomas -- probably just the 5K -- a 7.5 mile race would take a good 2+ hours for me; it's a lot. But, I'll see how I feel then.

Four and change from home.

It must be the season of goodwill, several drivers actually stopped at corners
to let me cross.

God rest ye merry.

I did a five-and-a-half mile loop through Stoneham this morning.
It was overcast, but the temperature was above freezing and there was no wind.

Did you spot any four milers you'd like to? You should now be able to run them well within one hour, which was the time of your first 5k. Even a sub-1h-5miler is easily possible for you in 2010. You've got the weight already, all you need to do is put the miles in.

No pressure -- I just like to push other people around.

I'm running a half marathon on the 24th. Hmmm. So far this month, I've walked a mile in 3 degree windchills.

Mebbe be a slow half.

Back to work.

Ran four miles at lunchtime. I'm watching my posture, trying to stay light on
my feet. Not a bad run.

I ran a lot of 5k's in Iraq. They had one for every major holiday and it was a good way to take your mind off of things. I need to start back running now that I am out of the army. Tomorrow is a good as day as any to start, eh?

@Seed,
Running barefoot in the snow really sucks; and even in my Vibram's it's damn cold.

@maporsche,
Totally sluggish in the cold, even with no snow on the ground. I was out at the Chestnut Hill Reservoir last month; I think it was about 15 above. Oof. Never again there for that low a temp -- it felt like I was getting frostbite.
