@Joe Nation,
Have a wonderful lunch. You all deserve it, including the red headed hottie and the concerned sister.

@spendius,
Going from figures I've seen, which may be rough estimates, 307,959,550 Americans failed to participate in the NYC marathon. I know that a lot of them had a good excuse but nevertheless it's obviously not as popular a pastime as some I could mention.

@spendius,
That's because running a marathon* is not a pastime.

@Joe Nation,
There's probably more than 307,959,550 Americans not out to find a cure for breast cancer Joe. They are mostly complaining about taxes and the price of gas and putting those up is the best way to find cures for disease. A few women running around in feathered bras is hardly likely to lay a scratch on such a problem. They are using charity to excuse their exhibitionism.

What do you do? Stick your head out of your time-machine from 1811 and try to grasp how this present world has evolved from your own?

Those few women and others raised over 41 million dollars just on Sunday for various charities.

Ow.

Somerville Jingle Bell Run was today.

50:20. Not a great time, but it never hit 30 degrees F, either.

Things hurt.

I had lunch with Thomas. It was nice. Hope he's in or near NYC by now.

That is all.

PS

OW.

In a remarkable coincidence, my car's clock said 6:24 pm the minute I parked in front of my apartment. Exactly the time of your post.

And where is this $41 million right now. In committee I suppose.

Spent on beer and smokes it would be back in the Treasury ready for fund allocations. Right now. Then you just pressure the fund allocators to cure diseases. Easy.

And it's more fun.
