@Region Philbis,
There's an 80% chance I'll be in. The remaining 20% reflect that there's a 5K in Harlem the same weekend. If I skip it, I'll probably have to run an 18-miler in mid-September in under four hours to qualify for th 2011 New York Marathon. So I'll see where I stand on August 20. And I'll run Artisani Park if I'm fit enough to waddle 16 miles fast enough in September (55%), or if I'm so far out of shape I'll postpone the Marathon till next year (25%).

Speaking of Harlem: how would you and Jespah feel about coming down here for a run some time? It would be fun to have you around, run with Joe Nation, and maybe see some non-running New Yorkers together, not to mention New York itself. Well, it would be fun for me anyway. Whether it's fun for you is your decision of course. I just want you to know you have an open invitation.

@Region Philbis,
That's perfect! No scheduling conflict on September 6. I'll join you then and run August 21 in Harlem.

@ehBeth,
Thanks! We had fun. RP beat his last time by around 3 mins -- I beat mine by just under 4. Man oh man it's a world of difference when it's around 75 degrees versus 85. Feet hurt now.

@jespah,
The hurt will go away, but the calories will remain burnt forevermore. Congratulations on beating your times! No, make that "our times": You and I finished together last time.

(I bet mine too. 36:06 in my hilly 5K in Harlem. Better than I thought. Perhaps losing those 15 pounds did help with the hills.)
