Luv ya, jes. I figure at my best I jogged 4 miles in an hour, aka, 15 minutes. Well, there was some uphill in that, but also some downhill. I was at my worst on non wetted and packed sand. Keep on kicking, and catch those stroller folks...

@Region Philbis,
Oh, it hit both of you! Somehow I managed to miss that. See you Monday then!
Aha! I was so interested in whether Jes beat region that I forgot to ask Thomas how he did! Sorry, Thomas. Congrats.
Thanks, and no worries. Actually, I'm sorry myself for not asking if you'd like to join us for lunch. You seemed on a mission with your gardening, so It felt wrong to put you in conflict at the time. But afterwards, I thought it should have been your decision. Oh well… but maybe we'll all see each other in New York.

Ran four miles in Central Park in my fastest time this year, and my second-fastest ever. Now the question is, will that be enough to finish the 18-mile run next Sunday within the time limit of four hours? I did a trial run last week, and after two rounds around The Loop (the 18-miler will be three) I was seven minutes too slow: 2:47. Now I have eight days to shave off seven minutes, and gain the endurance for a third round at this pace. I'm afraid it'll be a close shave.
