Oh it is not so great I think, and most of the time I know what I want (Black Label, Glenfiddich for regular drinking), the rest of my collection either comes from Scotland or specialist scotch shops....

Hmmm. I really liked being offered so many different FREE taste tests there! I don't think I've ever been in a Scotch specialty shop. Sounds intriguing.

Glenfiddich is what you like? He's got that, but not this old Glenlivet. PFK has a Scotch Bible that lists all the distilleries; a favorite read for him. Definitely prefers single malt and keeps saying "the Peatier, the Better". <shudder> I just pick one for him that looks interesting and get it. No science involved.

max, I'm not familiar with the idea that we can't have beer whereever or whenever. Do you? c.i. p.s., I had to put my .02c worth in, because I saw the 1,000 hits on your forum. Wink

A good freind who lives in Tennessee has come up for The Holidays, escorting a few jugs of his famous, crystal-clear Home Product. There is much to be said for thoroughly uncivilized whiskey ... once you are able to breath again.

Uh, lessee...depending on the time of day: wine, single malt (I have some Balvenie Double Wood at home now; was b'day gift), sherry or port. A friend is visiting for the holiday, which neither of us celebrate, but no matter. A bottle of Madeira will be there for the occasion!

All hail the Fourth Musketeer!

An accomplished verbal swordsman if ever there was!

Welcome!
