Bombay Sapphire !! Yum Yum !!! Shot of Bombay sapphire, topped up with lemonade, plenty of shaved ice - garden with bright sunshine in the afternoon

Heaven on earth...

P.s. I never drink gin after the sun goes down

Don't drink Pimms - reminds me too much of stiff british gentry at Ascot races LOL

I like my Vodka with tonic - but gin always with lemonade !!

on Wisonsin -- recently asked someone who spent a winter in Madison (the same winter I spent in the midwest, as fate would have it, which was a miserable one) what the town was like, as I may find myself transplanted there in the not too distant future.

her response: "God, those people drink."

Timber -- That sounds wonderful and v. similar to what I get at my local... except for the substitute of a higher-tone tequila. I'm not sure I'd like Gran Marnier -- it is not my favorite to sip, but the orange would probably go well with the lime. I wonder, are there any lime liqueurs? Can't think of any.

PD - You're leaving the PNW? For Wis CON sin????

Pimms? I forget. Is that a beer???

I like Vodka Tonics, too, but I did like Bombay Sapphire with tonic, a lot. 'Tis true, either should be best drunk in the sun.

(as an aside: dunno where i'm going. sacramento is probably the most likely, but also on the list are minneapolis, madison, philadelphia, athens (ga), columbia (mo, though i certainly hope not), and portland (or, not me).)

piff - triple sec is the standard for the 'rita, and it's an orange liquer. 'tis where the sweetness comes from.

(I thought you were working for the UW)

Triple Sec doesn't seem as strongly flavored as Grand M, though.

Good luck with it or whatever. It is an admirable profession, I think. I'm very pleased with my vets, one for the horse, one for the dogs and cats... and when we had the turtle for a few days... yet another specialist. Makes your head swim.

I wonder what vets drink?

Hmm. Crazy Horse? Old Crow? Wild Turkey?

Or just the hair of the dog...

pdog, don't forget Famous Grouse!

Good luck on your pursuit of a Veterinary carreer. Some of the nicest folks I know are vets, and with our assortment of critters, we see our family vet fairly often. We also do foster care for the Humane Societies of our own and three surrounding counties. Should your perigrinations eventuate in a Minneapolis-ish settling, feel free to come and visit any time. Castle Timber is about 2 1/2 hours Northeast of The Twin Cities. Oh, and if you happen to bring along any Frontline, TopSpot, or aureomycin, all the better.
