Yeah, well, I'm a little late coming to this thread, but just had to announce my near-fanatical love for the German football team. Been their hardcore supporter since the 2002 WC.
I nearly shed tears after they lost their 2010 WC semi-final to Spain. But I'm sincerely convinced they are going to win the next World Cup.
And while I follow premier league football quite a bit, I really wish I was able to follow Bundesliga, but unfortunately for me, they don't show it here on any channels.
I have to say that I've never been a fan of the German style of soccer/football, but this year's team was excellent and a pleasure to watch.
I think I'll forget who actually won the cup soon enough, but the winners in my heart will always be Ghana.
