@Diest TKO,
He stopped his car at a level crossing .... and then waited for the next train.

On another thread, Francis posted the following representation of (I believe) Celtic warriors:

No, just standard warriors, this thread is about naked women..

It made me wonder how Thiery Henri et al might feel if faced with a similar sight in a little under 48 hours from now. Damien Duff in the buff, as it were. Razz

Sources say that you can't get candles in Eire anymore and churches are full with football fans praying ...

Meanwhile, Russia won over Slovenia (2:1).

And New Zealand qualified.

That's true - but Robbie Keane is preying!

Congrats to the Kiwis.

@lmur,
While Nigeria win World Cup place, too, the Irish and French are still playing.

But (0:1 now) I suppose, Imur might have been correct when

@Walter Hinteler,
Drat those Frenchies and their annoying tendency to play "football". Do they not understand that the games is all about giving the ball away and then bustin' your chops (and - as a side benefit - the opposition's legs) in trying to win it back? No! They insist on displaying alien concepts like "flair", "finesse" and the dreaded "élan". Bloomin' Nantes-sy boys. <grumbles>

Nobody here is relishing the second leg! 4-0 is my prediction (I'm assuming the French will take it easy after half-time).

Francis - Bill Shankly; a former manager of Liverpool FC); is reputed to have said (I'm quoting from memory): "There are people who think football is a matter of life and death. These people are wrong. It's much more important than that."

Yes, but it seems easier when you play in your own courtyard..

I generally agree, but ...

France 0 " 0 Uruguay
France 0 " 2 Argentina
France 0 " 1 Nigeria

Depending on the result of tonight's game, do you think I'm in trouble tomorrow, when I take the plane to Dublin?

@Francis,
Most Irish then still will be ... on Guinness and whiskey, no matter what the result will be.

But perhaps you better don't fly Air France, though Wink
