It stopped snowing around 8 last night. We ended up with about 3 inches in the field but only about 1 in the parking lot and on the sidewalks of my townhouse complex. Today it is mild and sunny.
Bubba, who takes care of things like plowing, came through around midnight and spent around 10 minutes pushing the snow around before it could melt. I will get a bill from him tomorrow for $100. Bubba aint no fool.
Will we end up being fools in this week's games?
With picks still needed from EhBeth, we are all convinced that the Saints will whip the Redskins, the Broncos will top the Chiefs, the Bengals will triumph over the Lions and the Chargers will win against the Browns.
Region alone is picking the Raiders over the Steelers.
I am listing 3 games as tossups: We favor by a margin of 15-11 the Texans against the Jaguars; the 49er's over the Seahawks by a 16-10 vote and the Packers by 18-8 vs the Ravens.
Edgar, Liontamerx, ElStud, JPinMilw and Panzade agree with the majority on every game. I can't single anyone out as being on really thin ice.
@realjohnboy,
I'm on thin ice comparing to SI's Peter King..
w00t Jags went for it on fourth and inches. Houston hit 'em for a loss. Score remains: Jags 3, Houston 0.
@edgarblythe,
I was busy elsewhere. Didn't notice Shaub knocked out of game. Shoulder - driven into the ground.
Houston intercepted 2 yards from a score. Grr.
Saints are trying to lose this one. Even with the refs helping them out.
@JPB,
Raiders live up to their name.
@lmur,
"C. Crowder intercepted T. Brady for no gain "
no comeback this time...
Fins win at home.
(i miss welker)
@George,
saints are headed for overtime.
I wonder if Abel is watchin'...
@Rockhead,
Bad Day at Black Rock - I've gotten two right so far, an all time low.
Oh, my. No joy in Beantown and there can be no happiness in Pittsburgh or Houston. The Saints dodged an arrow.
A lot of red ink through the early games.
ElStud, Clubber, Spendius and Panzade are 9-2 so far.
@JPB,
They pulled that one out of their backsides.
Whoever it was who took a blank sheet of paper and thought up this game was obviously on some big heap medicine.
@realjohnboy,

That's good news for the dumb Limey eh?
Dallas is not looking good.
Blimey! There must be something in my rulebook precluding Limey's from winning here.
Spendius is 12-2 and has Minn and Green Bay in the remaining 2 games this week. JPinMilw, Clubber and Jespah are 13-3 and have Minn and Baltimore.
Amongst the leaders; very unofficially:
Spendius - 133-50
Maporsche - 130-53
McGentrix - 129-54
Johnboy - 127-56

Actually, they look perfect to me right about now.
