I missed the last 2 episodes of season 1. Who is Maryann? Why was Sookie's brother in jail? Where is the dungeon (under the vamp club?) How did the drug dealer get there? Selling vamp blood?

Nemmind! found this: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0844441/episodes

True Blood SPOILERPALOOZA!

HBO's loglines for 5 episodes in August contain major spoilers. READ at your own risk and then only if you want the scoop on the rest of the season!

That Franklin is one whacked out vampire. But I wish I could type a text message as fast as he does.

@rosborne979,
What made that scene so hilarious to me is how 'proud' he is of his speed-texting skills lol.

@Irishk,
Franklin is pretty funny and scary at the same time. Remember this line... Tara says, "We need to talk". And Franklin replies, "Oh no girlfriend, don't say that. Every time I hear that, things go black and I wake up with body parts strewn around me". Smile How's that for a chilling laugh.

One interesting thing to me was that Bill evidently was on a mission to research the supernatural powers in Sookie's family. In retrospect I shouldn't be surprised, but I was.

And the queen apparently ordered it, since the king said it had her "perfume" all over it. And the king suspected there was a "payoff" at the end, so I wonder how the queen was planning on making money from Sookie.

Now that Sookie can throw lightning bolts I wonder where that puts her in the range of physical prowess among these vamps. The vamps physical powers seem pretty daunting and we haven't even seen what this "king" vampire can do yet.

I wonder if the queen wanted sookie for a power play, or simply to finesse the situation with a little telepathy here and there.

@rosborne979,
I wonder where Sookie's cousin at the Queen's court fits in?

Sookie's cousin? Who's that? I must have missed something.

And what about Jason (sookie's brother), is there something *special* about him as well?

@rosborne979,
Season 2 finale: When Bill shows up at the Queens to talk about Marie-Anne, a blond girl tells him "say hello to my cousin Sookie". Moreover, in the Season-3 episode where Franklin takes Sookie's family tree out of Bill's secret drawer, you see a twig of that family tree branching off from Sookie's grandparents, one of which is circled. I don't remember if any name at the end of that branch is circled, too. But it would certainly explain what got the Queen interested in Sookie.

Technical question: Does any of you have HBO on Demand? If so, can you access True Blood, Season 3, episode 5 through it? Because I can't. Both of the other series I follow---Hung and Entourage---are up to date. But for True Blood, they only have the first four episodes of the season.

You will need all of season 2 to figure that out, but the answer is that she's a time traveller from the future. If you followed Star Trek: The Next Generation, you know her as Ensign Ro Laren, who starts out working for the Enterprise but then disappears to join some resistance movement that resurfaces---without her---on Deep Space 9. Where did she go? Well, apparently she emigrated to Caprica, changed her name to Helena Cain, joined the military, made admiral, became commander of the Pegasus, and was a pain in Adama's ass. Now she's resurfacing in True Blood. It's all very easy once you see the big picture.

Honest!

I don't remember that. But I'm sure you're right. I'll have to see if I have it On-Demand.

That last episode was a powerhouse. Lots of things revealed and hinted at.

Russell is almost 3000 years old, and I'm sure Eric is planning on killing him (if he can figure out how to do it).

Also, Eric is apparently older and stronger than the queen, but he allowed her to dominate their relationship out of respect for her position. That surprised me because I just assumed that the strongest (oldest) vampires would naturally assume the highest ranks, but apparently that isn't true.

*possible spoiler based on previews... *
The scenes from next week seem to show Sookie drained of blood near to death, and Bill in the daylight, so I'm now assuming that enough of Sookie's blood either makes vampires live again, or allows them to walk in sunlight (either of which would make Sookie extremely valuable to them, and probably why the queen wanted her).

What's the deal with Jason and his new mystery nymph (girl)?

@Thomas,
About Crystal: I'm pretty sure she's a werewolf, and the whole meth-lab gang is associated with the bad-werewolf pack. Jason notes how warm she is; in an earlier episode, Alcide notes that warm body temperature is a werewolf thing. Also, she gets restless and leaves Jason at the sound of barks in the background. I think she's afraid she might shift, and thereby reveal her identity as a werewolf to a human.

@rosborne979,
Two other points: I wonder where the marriage problems between Russel and Talbot will lead. And I noticed with interest that Lorena's maker is entering the picture. Since Eric will need someone older than Russel to take his revenge, and since that someone would have to be willing to murder a king, I'm wondering if there will be an allience.

@Thomas,
It sounds like lorena's maker is a pretty sadistic vampire. I had assumed that her maker was long gone (truedead). But I guess I don't know that for sure.

What was the name Bill used for Lorena's Maker? Do you remember? I couldn't quite make out what he was saying.
