Well,
he sincerely TRIED; he did
his best
in the fight to resist communist efforts to enslave the world,
so that Americans can live in freedom, but he coud not be
anywhere
near the quality of the
NKVD or the
KGB.
He deserves credit for doing what he was able to
DO.
He put his heart into his defense of our freedom.
He has my gratitude for that.

What better way to undermine the freedom of Democracy
than for a person in power to persecute those he might disagree with,
and use lies when truth does not fit the agenda.
What better way to undermine the freedom of Democracy
is to fight the way that liberals advocate, to wit:
to fight the war in a tender-hearted way,
with covert love and sneaking admiration for our commie enemies.
When we were fighting the
NATIONAL Socialists and the Japs,
there was absolutely nothing rong with the attitude of the liberals.
Thay were whole-heartedly in the war for unconditional surrender
of the nazis and the Japs; this was right; this was good.
That is what we (or
ANY country) needs to do:
support its Army n Navy with resolute enthusiasm !
Unfortunately, in our war of resistance against the
INTERNATIONAL socialists,
the liberals were nowhere near as enthusiastic, with many of them
making excuses and apologizing for the commies.
We did not have that problem in the war against the nazis.
In
contrast with the war against the nazis,
in the war against the commies,
liberals' support was mediocre and grudging, at best.
It was the sad, tragic fact that during the Kennedy-Johnson years,
the following was true, not a joke:
we used to lament that Kennedy policy was neutrality toward our enemies (the Reds),
friendship toward the "neutrals" and hostility toward our friends.
I fully expected to
LOSE the war and see the commies win,
because the political leadership did not have their hearts in it.
If anything, in their private feelings, thay seemed leaning
left toward the enemy.
Joe McCarthy was
innocent of this.
The
ZEAL that was manifested against the nazis
VANISHED.
It was nowhere to be seen, but we saw it in Sen. McCarthy, may he be blessed.
I say this without rancor. These r just my historical observations.
The war is over, as of Christmas of 1991; we won.
Little gratitude to the liberals; some of them miss the commies.
Some of the young liberals with whom I argued,
openly said that it woud not be such a bad thing if we lost n the commies won.
