I thought about doing that, but I felt like the list would take forever... I gave up. They won that fight. I now scroll past dozens of Lovatts, Stinkers and What-the-****-cryptics in the new topics page.

Those are the ones I collapse immediately without looking at them. No need to put the posters on ignore; the threads can be killed before they clutter up my pages. (I love crosswords, do 'em daily in any newspaper I pick up. Not on the 'net, though.)

If I had my druthers, I'd make categories collapsible so you wouldn't see even one Lovatts or other game thread. Clicking on so many is a PITA. Yeah, make categories optional.

I currently have three members on ignore, and am not clicking on their posts so I can see them anyway. The ignore feature is valuable to me because it helps me to automatically ignore the posts I would otherwise have to ignore actively by scrolling past them.

Although I don't myself announce who's on my ignore list and who isn't, I can see why people might do it. That way the ignored persons knows where they're at, and why they are no longer getting responses from the ignorer. Either way works for me though. No big deal.

David has been on my ignore list once or twice, as a time out for myself, but mostly I appreciate him. Since I occasionally unfurl obscenities with vigor, I'm guessing I've been on his list. So it goes. But, I'm agreeing here with Chai and Farmer.
