History records that a lot of people were killed with edged weapons before the advent of gunpowder.

And there is the statistical fact that gun availability does not have much impact on homicide rates.

A carpenter's square works better than a knife. But you have to take care to not use too much force when using it on someone's head because it can get stuck in their skull, and then you have to wipe it clean of prints. Even then you have to worry about it being traced back to you. I once had to use someone's own handsaw to sever their head from their shoulders, and then remove the square from their head at home in my garage. Man, what a day that was!

Just out of morbid curiosity, has anyone here online (not in combat) ever been shot or been intentionally shot at? I would love to compare experiences. How’s about it, how did it feel to you?

Ps, I’m not talking about stray shots...I’m asking about intentional (I want you to be dead) shots?

It wasn't intentional, but it wasn't funny at all:
I had never loaded the pistol as a guard during the shipyard period of our ship. Handed the gun to my backup one early morning (he had just got on board from academy).
He made a safety check, but with the magazine still in the pistol.
The shot went 30 centimeters behind me into the ground, I skipped breakfast ...
