Then prosecute, oh wait, that is not against the law.

Farmerman is complaining about political contributions and lobbying. Why? Every other organization fighting for legislation does it, why single out the NRA? All he is doing is avoiding the argument.

Planned Parenthood donates just as much for lobbying and donations to politicians. When is it time to call them out? Remember the people they kill are not armed, and their arms are actually pulled off them in some abortions. What gives anyone the right to do that?

@coldjoint,
farmer is almost always completely correct and well-informed and well-thought-out, as o[psed to the NRA stooges, who pretty much bat .000.

@coldjoint,
specious arguments. Planned parenthood isnt the issue. All youre doing is attempting comparisons to bolster your argument. if youve no way to provide evidence for your beliefs, you are merely engaging in diversion by false dichotomy.

Its a beginners debate trick that usually gets flagged as weak minded or falsely misleading. Which is yours?

@edgarblythe,
The latest Quinnapiac found that Amricans are solidly for stronger rules re: guns(background checks better to stop gunshow loophols and strawmn purchases, do away with any comn=binations to deliver lots f bullets at fast rates of fire(large cap clips and )

I say to stop advertising these weapons as "hunting tools. They arent accurate for long range shots and they are more for short range but not set for small game.

And what are you doing saying the NRA is responsible for criminals, or guns are responsible for criminals? Criminals are responsible for criminals, it is their decision to break the laws. The tools they use to do that have nothing to do with a right to own guns.

so we, by your logic, should gladly keep supplying them with top of the line military firepower and allowing their access to weapons go unchallenged by law??
Izzat what youre driving at?

We aren't, known criminals cannot get a gun legally.

You know a lot about criminals, interesting, but a law that no one objects to being fixed. Do you have any statistics about guns purchased at gun shows and those guns being involved in crimes
?

Quote:
only 2 percent of criminal guns come from gun shows.

That should nip crime in the bud eliminating 2% of the guns used in crime. That from 2000. Do you think that percentage has grown? You are welcome to prove it.

Study: Chicago Criminals Avoid Gun Shows, Internet Sales, Buy Guns on Street

Quote:
According to the Chicago-Tribune, Crime lab co-director Harold Pollack said the study shows that “some of the pathways [regarding guns] people are concerned about don’t seem so dominant.” He said very few inmates indicated using gun shows or the internet. Rather, they get the guns in undetectable ways on the street. He said the inmates know they run the risk of being caught by police but “were less concerned about getting caught by the cops than being put in the position of not having a gun to defend themselves and then getting shot.”

A Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) report on "Firearms Use by Offenders" found that only 0.8% of prison inmates reported acquiring firearms used in their crimes "At a gun show,"

Call Mc Gruff. If that percentage was attached to terror people would say it means nothing.
