@Stradee,
Yeah, Stradee, I've been watching the temps at your site. Looks uncomfortable to me. It's average 70 degrees here at our home - Ohhh, but, outside is a little higher......Grin

@danon5,
yep - sooooooooo hot...the skies are blue blue though - a nice surprise.

Indoors temps are a lot cooler but i love the great oudoors when the chance of melting is limited - after sunset and near 10:00 p.m. is the best time for sitting outside and checking out the constellations. Awsome.

@ehBeth,
Stradee, most city people don't know how bright the sky is at night and how clear the stars are. Too bad for them.

@danon5,
Yep, we are fortunate. Tahoe is just an hour away, ( my favorite place,) and the night sky's unbelievably beautiful.

Received this today from a friend:

The choir uses their hands to simulate a thunder storm. Performed live at Vocal Extravaganza 2008, a concert spectacle of vocal jazz and popular music.
Turn on your sound! Be patient, it starts quietly, listen for it. Picture yourself being in a rain storm under a lot of trees and the raindrops hitting the leaves.

First is the rain sound (In Rain Forest) then the thunder, then the choir sings. No band. One guys voice is the drum.

Enjoy! -

@ehBeth,
You all get some rest.

Triple digit weather still. Daytime work doesn't happen until after sunset.

A visiting pregnant deer visits daily, she ready to birth any time now. During the early hours of the morning, another mamma visits with her new spotted baby. Very cute. Making certain all the feeders are plenished with fresh, cool water for wildlife friends.

Have a restful evening ~

@Stradee,
Our outside dog - Chloe - is getting old. Yesterday, she came out of hiding under the front porch and walked around with me and the little inside puppy - Hannah. Right in front of us all was a rabbit in the driveway - Chloe just looked up at me - I petted her and we all just watched the rabbit watch us. Today, as I was returning home from shopping - I saw two deer in the front yard - just lounging and feeding on the front lawn. Then, all of a sudden - they ran for the forest and I saw Chloe running with them. Chloe had been watching the deer - and, didn't do anything until she saw me turning into the driveway. Then, she had to save me from the deer.

Good dog..........

@Stradee,
You have it with the Chloe...........But, she - and I too - are getting old. She, like me, limps after just getting out from her bed - and me out of my chair. Then, after a few steps we pretend to walk normally.

Happy weekend all and good clicking to all.

LOL - My Mandy is also getting up in years. Arn't they the sweetest though? Bootsie and Bella watch out for her - stay close when she's outdoors.

@Stradee,
We're all maturing around here.

Bailey is very cautious coming down the stairs, Cleo is much more deliberate going up the stairs than she was a few years ago. You can't rush her up the stairs. She'll sit down.
