@Izzie,
Izzie, It's abt 70 degrees here in NE Texas - Ohh, you mean OUTSIDE!!! We tend to stay inside where the temp is better. Outside has been HOT lately, but, it's less now that the High Pressure area is gone and the JetStream has changed to the North - sorry ehBeth.

Patti is feeling a lot better now. However, the pain she had with the Gall Bladder thing covered all the other pains from her MS. Now, the GB pain is gone and she feels the other MS pains. Like Gilda Radner said, "It's Always Something."

Hope all is well with you and your visit to Texas and the USA will be nice and wonderful. If you are at all close to the Texarkana, TX/AR area let me know - I'm only 20 miles south of there. A little town named Atlanta, TX.

Atlanta is famous for being the birthplace of the very first African American female pilot with a license to fly. Bessie Coleman.

And, it is lesser known for being the place where the SPEED BUMP was invented. True story.

Also, it has a true Frank Lloyd Wright house - and, a French Chalet - which a local doctor had transported from France, stone by stone, and reassembled here. It's really nice.

Dan, you're a good guy, no doubt.

Send our best to Pattie too.

Speed Bumps, huh? LOL Cause fourwheelin' cowboys just didn't know what to do after leaving the range cept break the sound barrier along paved roads?

grinning

Iz, have a wonderful trip, hon. Looking forward to photos. Smile

@Stradee,
Hi Stradee, actually, the speed bump thing started way long time ago when a guy here in Atlanta became concerned with the Rail Road crossings. Back then - they had no alarms and people didn't look - so, he placed the Bumps to make people safer at the Rail Road crossings.

@danon5,
Now that was a good idea! Interesting, Dan.

Hi Ya Alex

California silly facts:

Drinking intoxicating cement is prohibited in Indian Wells... Drunk Shocked

Ice cream may not be eaten while standing on the sidewalk in Carmel.

You cannot bathe two babies in the same tub at the same time in Los Angeles.

California produces over 17 million gallons of wine each year. (better than cement}

Bowling on the sidewalk is illegal in Chico.

It is against the law to ride a bicycle in a swimming pool in Baldwin Park, California...(without scuba gear???)

No vehicle without a driver may exceed 60 miles per hour.

@danon5,
It's only a day and a half with hamburger right now (new job, not a lot of vacation entitlement yet), but I love to be downe on the St. Lawrence, by the 1000 Islands. If I won the lottery (I should buy a ticket), I'd buy myself one of those little islands with a little cottage on it.

Don't you know - we get to Kingston and the rain starts! hamburger and the dogs and I went out for a walk - missed getting soaked by literally seconds. Oh well, a tiny bit of speed-walking is a good thing, right?

@ehBeth,
Absoluely Smile

Must be georgous there now, summer weather plus rain.

The herds staying indoors mostly all day to keep cool. Evenings on the porch is a nice break from daylight hour triple digit heat. A summer rainshower sounds sooooooooo good right now.
