@Stradee,
To put in TX's terms - "Yall hav au great day......."

Hey, this is me.....Dan on clicking for rainforest = or, as our most bountiful clicker has said in the past. "It's ((Rain ((blank)) Forest )).....

I personally don't give a sheit what he meant to say - he said it all for all of us "Wildclickers"

We need to continue to click once each day for a tree - AND, continue to click each day for our continuatium..............((That may be an ("old word") , or that may be a ("new word") I really don't know. Or care. It is something that we should know and look at in real life.............. It's our future - or NOT -

"And that's the way it is."

I really miss the guy saying those things.

He always said the truth.. And, nothing else, may our God bless him in his next life.

@danon5,
A friend of mine (born and raised in Texas) who's lived in California for many years, answers my calls with and exuberant "How You"??? Very cute

Ah, Walter. A good man, kind face, intelligent, and dearly missed.

Seems like eons ago when real journalism existed.

@Stradee,
Yep, that's right. Now the news people grill people into saying what they want them to say instead of just reporting. It's all twisted around.

@Izzie,
Good, thanks Iz

Weathers a bit cooler today (whew) and earlier tackled much needed yardwork. Lawns look yukky though - totally organic from the herd leaving presents after clover munchin'. Mamma deer ready for birthing soon, and i'm so looking forward to visiting spotted youngins' (even when the lawns get squished) where they rest during they're trips through the neighborhood. Sooooooooo cute! Mz Bella alerts me to thier arrival with a steady screeching "nooooooo" when her naps interrupted. I swear, the cat's a stress tab on feet!

Good hearing from you, Iz. Take care and have a marvelous vacation.

Please say 'howdy' to dear sweet Noddy

Have a great day Dan, Beth, and all Wildclickers

g'day wildclickers

'Roadless rule' in national forests reinstated by court

A federal appeals court Wednesday reinstated a rule created in the final days of the Clinton administration that banned logging, mining and new roads on nearly 40 million acres of national forest land.

It's not clear yet how the decision will affect the Tongass National Forest, which was exempted from the ban six years go.

The decision by a three-judge panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals reinstates most of the so-called "Roadless Rule," issued by President Bill Clinton in 2001.

The court case began after President George W. Bush repealed the Clinton rule and issued his own roadless rule, giving states discretion to ban development in affected national forest land.

The 9th Circuit, based in San Francisco, sided with several Western states and environmental groups that said the Bush rule violated the National Environmental Policy and Endangered Species acts.

@ehBeth,
Izzie - a very interesting place to see in Austin is at = 409 East Fifth Street - it's the home of William Sydney Porter, better known in the world as = O,Henry, writer of short stories. There, you will also see one of his publications = The Rolling Stone magazine. Published well before the current one of course.

@ehBeth,
Catching up after being offline for a spell. Speaking of aging critters, my Squek (cat) isn't feeling well, not eating, and I a worried about her.

Speaking of triple digit heat, we are expecting our first 100 degrees on Sunday.
