@BumbleBeeBoogie,
Butrflynet called me at 8:30 am Monday to say she was going to drive as far as Deming today and complete the drive to Albuquerque tomorrow.

Dyslexia called her early this morning to recommend that she proceed from Phoenix on freeway #17, which would reduce the driving by several hours. But she was already on the road and couldn't reach #17 from where she was.

@BumbleBeeBoogie,
Byyyy the time she makes Albuquerque BBB will have dinner on,

She'll stop as she hears BFN call out loud,

But they'll both just let that phone keep on ringin' ... off the wall, ... that's all, ....

@JTT,

Well, it's a pretty straight forward ride - just after Gallup it gets a bit hilly,
but otherwise Butrflynet shouldn't have any problems driving (unless it
snows somewhere).

@CalamityJane,
not coming via Gallup, coming up from the south on I-25

@dyslexia,
Oh, how come? It will take her so much longer this way - or is this the scenic
route?

@CalamityJane,
Gallup is on I-40, not I-10.
Gallup is quite a bit north and west of Deming.

@mysteryman,
I know that Gallup is on I-40, mysteryman - I assumed Buttrflynt took I-40
as it is much faster going to ABQ then going I-10 to Tucson and come up I-25
to ABQ.

@CalamityJane,
No, she took I-10 out of Ca, because it was an easier route, albeit about 300 miles longer.

@mysteryman,
I've driven both routes and one (I-40) with a truck and pulling our car, as
we were moving to CA from NY - going up 17 and then straight I-40 is pretty
easy actually - 300 miles is quite a bit longer.

Well, no sense in rerouting her, she's on her way to ABQ regardless Very Happy

it was mostly a question of unknown weather conditions as this is march 2, I-10 was considered the safest route.

2nd consideration, going route 17 from Phoenix to Flagstaff is going UP about 6,000 ft (long steep drive) whereas I-10 is gradual incline of about 4,ooo ft.

@dyslexia,
I called Btrfly this a.m. 7;30 suggesting the flagstaff route as the weather is close to perfect but she was already heading towards Tucson and didn't want to backtrack.

@dyslexia,
Yeah that would have been silly to drive back to Phoenix. She'll be in ABQ
soon anyway - tired I am sure!

@BumbleBeeBoogie,
It's good to hear she's made it to Abq.

Now she can settle in and get things started on her new life.
