When I bring it up, it is usually to make a point,
concerning the subject matter of the discussion,
be it safety in firearms handling, or better personal protection from crime, etc.
It did not occur to me that anyone woud consider that to be

I was only trying to encourage readers to be properly prepared
for predatory emergencies,
the same as if I encouraged everyone
to buy good health insurance; if I suggested that u get as good insurance
coverage as I have, is that bragging ?
