@OmSigDAVID,
David, I'm sorry you feel this way.

I hope the Obama presidency is not as bad as you fear it to be.

So ******* move.

Although I doubt Canada or Mexico would want you either so you'll have to go overseas.

@OmSigDAVID,
I had a chicken wrap for dinner close to my office.

Now I'm about to head home.

@OmSigDAVID,
Actually it did work - the majority voted for Obama (good or bad) and he was elected.

You may (and I don't as well) agree with many or any of his issues, but it is democracy and that is what our flag symbolizes.

It could be worse - it could have been Nadar!

You mean that your old fashioned, flawed America doesn't exist anymore?

Ah, the good old times!

Don't you like this vibrant, young, open-minded, multi-cultured new America?

@Linkat,
It could have been even worse than that...it could have been another Bush. Shocked

@Bella Dea,
Grow up.

This comment is not necessary; and brings you down to the irrelevant level of ardent Bush supporters.

I took all the clocks off my walls and flushed my watch down the toilet.

Time does not exist anymore.

That 's a clever tag: "sore loser".

Maybe the Germans felt the same about the French on June 14th, 1940.

Was it all a waste ? fighting the nazis and the commies ?

Well, . . . we had a few decades.

Honestly - Obama is an intelligent man and seems to be a generally good person.

I also believe that typically what happens is if people feel generally good about the condition/state of our country - the current party stays in office - if (like in our current condition) - people don't feel so good about things - they vote against the current party.

Most people don't read into the issues and whether the proposed policies would actually work.

@maporsche,
I'd rather not. But thanks for the comment any way.

If you bitch and moan about your state in life, but refuse to do anything other than complain about it, it's no one's fault but your own that you are miserable.

@Bella Dea,
Yeah but another Bush wasn't running. Hopefully none of the brothers/uncles/etc. will.

@Linkat,
I really doubt any other Bush will ever get elected again.

God help someone named Bush who isn't related and tries to run.

@Bella Dea,
I don't mind watching Billy Bush (and yes he is a Bush) on that entertainment show.

Actually, her comment was quite relevant: If the current Bush wasn't considered the epitome of incompetence, his arguably more competent bi-lingual brother may well have been considered a very viable candidate.

Further, in terms of economic policy, foreign policy, and several other issues; McCain was a facsimile of the incumbent.

Why in God's holy name are comparing all the time the terrific times of the Nazi dictatorship with a democratic free election in the best country of the world?

Don't you really know what happened between 1933 and 1945?

Yeah; that 's what it amounts to.
The Constitution and concepts of deep, abiding liberty,
with a little, tiny, non-interfering government.

I guess in retrospect,
the vote in Philadelphia went the rong way; Y bother ?

Altho, I must acknowledge that earlier generations of Americans
DID have the benefits of personal freedom.
Thay had no way to know what woud happen in 2008.
