@H2O MAN,
H2O, how did you gather the information that enables you to comment on Mr. Obama and his background/views/abilities?

Simple - I refuse to accept what the liberal media is selling and seek out additional information on my own.

You really should do your own research for the best unbiased results.

@H2O MAN,
It seems to work something like this...

- H2O MAN won't read the liberal media
- Therefore he doesn't know what the liberal media is or isn't doing
- The liberal media comprises everything except for maybe FOX
- But he knows that they're not reporting on Obama
- Even though he doesn't read them

LOL !!

What is your source for unbiased information?

Speaking of FOX, you should turn it on now - you don't want to miss this.

No single source. But sources include:

Talking Points Memo
Andrew Sullivan
Marc Ambinder
Kevin Drum
Ezra Klein
Obsidian Wings (Hilzoy especially)
Matt Yglesias
The Swamp (Chicago Tribune)
First Read
Five Thirty Eight (Nate Silver especially)
Gallup
Rasmussen
Pollster
RealClearPolitics
[The website I work for, which collects opinions of politicians.]
Factcheck.org
New York Times
FOX News
Columbus Dispatch
Washington Post
Chicago Tribune
CNN
C-Span
Drudge
Time (especially Swampland)

Hmm, that's a start.

@FreeDuck,
Quote:
I see that argument. Unfortunately, it's a bit turned around as it was the Republicans arguing that Obama is not qualified. If he's not qualified, how do you justify putting someone like Palin such a position (with a 72 year old candidate). In addition to being turned around, it's not entirely accurate. Palin's experience is not at all equivalent (much less better) to Obama's. At least not in my view, but I realize that is subjective.

Personally, I don't think her experience would be as much of an issue if McCain were not as old as he is. But jeez, the soundbytes we are getting out of the Republicans write their own jokes. I heard Santorum on NPR say that Palin would learn the ropes on the job "with a firehose stuck in her mouth". I think I understand the metaphor he was reaching for, but I don't think that's an image he really wanted to put out there.

The problem I have is that you guys are comparing the experience of the Dem Presidential nominee with the Rep VICE Presidential nominee. Last I saw, McCain was the Rep Presidential nominee and he is far more experienced then Obama. Palin was brought in to shore up McCain's base, not to sway any dem cross over's.

Americablog
Eschaton (atrios)
Booman tribune
The Corner (oppo research)
Redstate (same)

Heck, there are a lot of good sites these days, aren't there? The political web has exploded in size.

Err, first, I'm not "you guys". Second, it was you that brought up that comparison, and it's the Republican talking point that Palin has more "executive experience" than the whole Democratic ticket and that Palin has actually "done stuff" whereas Obama supposedly hasn't. I agree that it's not a fair comparison, but if you're going to make it, she doesn't come out on top.

Everybody agrees that McCain has more experience than Obama. That's not even something to argue. But the case he has been making is that Obama's inexperience alone is enough to disqualify him. Well, apparently it isn't.

Quote of the day, from the Obama campaign:

Quote:

"If executive experience is really important on the Republican side, maybe she should run for president and John McCain should run for vice president.”

Apply that logic to the democrats and maybe Obama should remove himself from the ticket and have Biden choose a new running mate.

@McGentrix,
Sure. But he'd also make a great President. He has enough experience for that, and enough of all the other qualities that I, personally, think we need in a president.
