My kids loved it. They are half Irish, half Chinese descent.

Bring them on over to the Big Island It's the land of mix mix. I've lived on the Big Island so long that seeing so many caucasian when I went to San Franciso Meet that I went into cultural shock. Asian dignity is beautiful.

Um, okay. I knew that there is no passport needed for going to Hawaii (unlike New Mexico).
But where am I going to again? Hilo?
On first search the airfare from Charlottesville didn't cause me to fall out of my chair. About $850.
But 24 hours portal to portal is beyond my back's ability to survive. So I would have to break it into two segments.
Anyway, the event itself is going to be in Hilo sometime between the 5th and 12th of Feb? Correct?

From Vancouver it's 5 - 6 hours and about $650. Yep, sometime during that period - I think we're going to meet up in Kona, but we're all staying in Hilo (my family) and renting a car.

The more the merrier Smile Come on down.

FOR MAME

Here's one of the best kept secrets in Oahu.

Nimitz Shower Tree Mini Hotel
3085 N. Nimintz Highway
Honolulu, HI 96819
Honolulu/Airport Area
Telephone 808 833-1411

Call these people. Tiny but ok for overnight. Clean. AA people use them a lot.

I dont have a website for them.

Another possibility is American Hostels Assoc.

Cool CI.

Oh Gus, just thinking. Yes, I do know a Jared. He was a waiter at the Volcano House at Volcano National Park and he got in trouble with a girl and now he is raising a little boy by himself. He's rather short and slim, very quiet. He now goes to AA. Those one night stands will do ya. Laughing

Say hello to my ex. Eh, she wants me to go visit, but I've never had any desire to go to Hawaii. If I'm going to buy an expensive plane ticket and travel for a whole day, I'm going to another country. I still predict I'll take a trip out there at some point.
