That's hardly breaking news jes. Are you a subscriber to the cyclical view of history? It titillates the pessimistic nerve I read. Makes one sardonic and resigned and accepting. Spengler does it best. Proust is pretty good. We are in the late autumn of our particular birth/growth/turning our toes up cycle.
I don't think we have the slightest intention of turning our toes up. If we can't do anything about cosmic events doing it for us what's the sense of worrying about them. That's like worrying about being 14 stone (196 pounds) when you can't stop eating chocolates and cream cakes.
