And sunny it is indeed
in the land of weed
where milk and honey flow together
and no one complains of the weather
California, paradise it is
newly home to killer bees!

The moral of this story: even paradise has its stings!

@CalamityJane,
Been there, done that,
Stung by a bee, so what?
Tomorrow is another day,
the cat is gone and the mice will play.
A couple of beers and girls galore,
can't think of anything better anymore.
Paradise is downunder CJ for sure,
A place of intrigue and allure.

The moral of this story: it is immoral. Laughing

@jespah,
Dankeschoen - jespah has the insight
for that we know she's very bright
and for Dutchy , our dearest friend
not that the truth is to be bend
but a small note to ponder:
paradise can never be down under!

@CalamityJane,
Excellent but I do think our down under friends are happy just the same. Smile

@jespah,
For what it's worth sayin'
I am kidding and was just playin'
Aussies are most grounded and happy
they're sense of humor is zappy
well grounded, never whining around
at least that's what I found!

(gotta stop, breaking news never rhyme!)

@CalamityJane,
Good golly, miss CJ molly,
The folks down under are always jolly,
Give them beer and snags
and they become the funniest of wags,
They know how to live and enjoy life,
Not always with the approval of the wife.
But be that as it may,
I'll take that chance any day. Smile

@Dutchy,
Hip....

S'em Antics and Logorrhoea

All assertions to the contrary are clearly negated by the very fact of the matter: any given musical composition, the auditory examination of which makes up the essential content of our -as yet hypothetical- inquiry cannot,for our current aesthetic purposes, be considered to be endowed with more than negligible semantic substance, presuming that it does not display the set of musicological characteristics most often colloquially referred to as 'swing'.

(I.e., "No, it don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing".)

...Low....Sweet Chariot

I hate to bring a downer, but I don't know where else to bring something I read earlier about a girl who died in Virginia after being abused for years. It just bothered me on so many levels.

Girl's Cries For Help 'Fell on Deaf Ears'

If you read the whole article, it is just hearbreaking. (its pretty long) But I wonder if anyone has ever noticed how little attention a girl like Lexie gets on those court shows (like Nancy Grace) than does someone like Caylee. I am not saying they never have interest in minorities, but it seems to be an imbalance in the media interest. (not explaining well)

@Izzie,
Looking over to me won't do you any good. The entire west coast - also known
as the weak and spoiled one - is trying to regain its composure from having
to get up one hour early. A massive yawn struck us around 3:00 pm and hasn't
subsided yet. Tomorrow we shall implement a mandatory short nap time - yes Sir!!

@wandeljw,
One can only assume tryagain has gone 'walkabout', a trait picked up from the local natives whilst on a visit downunder.

@Dutchy,
Precise location of Tryagain unavailable. GPS keeps searching and recalibrating.

@jespah,
I know, but the beginning of thread started out being about a news story and the title is 'today's breaking news stories', tags notwithstanding. But no biggie, sorry for the interruption.
