She is demanding a STEAK followed by Ice Cream. So it goes.

I'm hoping that the morphine drip is more effective for Diane than it was for me and my hospital roommate. Headache and nausea, still had pain.
Please don't be shootin' any of the hospital help, dys.
osso, A giant HB.
Please send the Lady Diane my love.
We must have had the same brand of morphine, Roberta. I had one ten or fifteen years ago, and three times out of four, it decided I didn't need it after all. Mostly, the darn things give the nursing staff a reason to ignore the moans.

This is New Mexico, Favio, is most likely an illegal alien with land grant status dating back to 1621. maybe even a 'converso'. at best, a mestizo. His photo is most likely found at the post office.

Oh, this is all making me feel so much better! Dys is back in his usual fine form, Diane is up to old tricks, and Osso's enjoying Italian food once more.
Good!

Thanks for your many reports, dyslexia. You are correct that it would be better for Diane to stay in the hospital. There is a lot of pain after abdominal surgery because large abdominal muscles have been cut. I hope Diane is okay.

Took dys up on his offer, and just got off the phone with Lady Diane. Hearing her dulcet voice was a mechiah.
When things were not looking so good, I said to myself that I would hear her call me "sweetie" (that's what she calls me) at least one more time. Heard it. Eyes welling up.
She sounds good. Still in pain. (No surprise there.)
She reports that the most solid food she's had is Jello. Sounds about right.
I'll repeat--a mechiah.
[Mechiah (Yiddish) = A real joy with a special twist. When you've been walking around all day in tight shoes and you get home and kick those shoes off, you'll say, "A mechiah."]
