Dadpad--

He doesn't look like a runaway--just a determined social experimenter.

Text message from Cold_Erin.

Theres a reindeer in my garden!.... (Eating cake?)

This is an allusion to a childhood book called "Theres a hippo on my roof eating cake".
The imaginary Hippo can do what he likes on the roof. In fact, he does all the things a little girl wishes she could, but is not allowed. When she takes a bath, the hippo takes a shower; when she goes to bed, the hippo watches television on the roof. And when the repair men come to fix the roof, the hippo conveniently disappears, returning of course to eat a very large piece of cake.

Email:

The reindeer in my garden is gone. It was ridiculous, I'll send you a photo next time. The reindeer herders have just started bringing them back into the area for real, and they're all over the place. They come out of the forest behind my house and lick the salt on the road...

I've just been given a big job at work, I'm really quite proud. Next weekend there's a birthday party here - think, 150 people, 21st bday, British, $$ and posh people. And me as their guide. The native English speakers have all been pulled in to act pretty much as chaperones...and it means we get to go to the party. Very Happy

I miss the sun.

3 months from now she'll be dying for some night - to get some sleep! It dims about 12 midnight, and starts to lighten about 2am. Swedes (and tourists like me) must spend summer in an exhausted haze. No wonder they drink so much - they need to knock themsleves out!

Go - girlpad - take every opportunity!

Jamie Oliver was the chef for the Posh 21st Party.

It is rumoured that the party cost 2 million.

Thats obscene and should be against the law.

Her best Australian girl friend is visiting and has attracted the eye of a media type person. This promptly resulted in front row VIP tickets to the erovision heat in the town for the pair of them.

Good luck to them all.

sonpad has a good work experience job with a home maintenance company. This will result in an ongoing one day a week job gaining experience in all the trades. His boss is very impressed with his work ethic and bouht him a toolbox and tools.

Today he was tiling, last week he built a fence, yesterday he put new shock absorbers on the bosses car. (needed some help with the last one cuse the gas cylinder was in the way). His boss and I had to persuade it in with a crowbar.

All is well and right with my children.
