My dates are still the last two weeks of August. Can't do much after Labor Day.

Merry Andrew, Although I hope others will sign up during the same period, I'll be more than happy to be your tour guide to places outside SF. If you make reservations, please let us know.

Thanks indeed, c.i. I'll stay in touch. I have a nodding acquaintance with SF, have been as far out as Berkeley and Richmond Point. But local guidance would surely be much appreciated.

I voted for August or September 2007. I was trying for September as my wife probably can't make an August date, so it does not look like an August date coinciding with Merry would be a go.

Cheers,
Chum

Chumly, I believe JPB is available in Septembe except 22 thru the 29th. Nick Fun said "September." McTag said "Tag is here," but didn't provide any dates. Eva said "I'm due for a trip to SF." realjohnboy suggested 8/22 to 8/28. Cycle, georgeob and I will also be "there."

Any "real" committments yet from the others? I don't know!

BTW, after you make your reservations, please let me know the dates, hotel you'll be staying at, and your cell phone number if you have one.

You can also send me a PM with your "real" name.

Almost forgot to mention what Merry Andrew said afterwards: 8/22 to 8/28 is ideal for me," and JPB said "works for me!"

Sorry, but I can't make it in August or September. We've already made plans in early August, and school starts on Aug. 20. (I'm teaching as well as having a son in school, so I have to be there on the 16th.) Next summer is a real possibility, though.

Yeah, but then it didn't work out after all. Sept looks much better for me and next fall even better.

Here's some good deals on flights + hotel from Chicago to San Francisco. Although the hotels are close to SFO (airport), there's good transportation from the airport to downtown SF.

I feel like, in trying to nail down a date for this SF thing, I am herding kittens

Meeting with CI again will be great. But it is a long way from VA to CA. I want to meet other A2Kers.

How does Wednesday, September 12th through Saturday, September 15th work? Would you be able to join some or all of us for breakfast, lunch, dinner or whatever in that time frame?

rjb, I'll be there for most of the meals that will have a few people attending. I prefer lunches and dinners, because trying to drive into San Francisco with the morning commute traffic will be a bear from Sunnyvale - a 40 mile drive north. However, perhaps georgeob and/or Cyclo can meet for some of the breakfast gatherings. georgeob is in SF, and Cyclo live sin Berkeley - a quick trip on the BART. I can also take the BART in from Millbrae, but that means no car transportation - unless somebody rents one.

Francis and ehBeth, Please provide us with dates if you can, because it will help others to tie down their plans. We'll be waiting with great anticipation. Wink

keep telling you that Merry Andrew and Seaglass will be in San Francisco starting around August 15.

Will there be anyone around to say hello?
