Seaglass will be arriving SFO around 7 a.m. on Sunday, the 20th. (I'm passing this on because her computer is down.) I'll try to get in sometime on the 19th and have hotel reservations firmed up by then. Details to come.

Uh...you're right...the 20th in Monday. So the ETA is Monday morning, not Sunday. I should be in town by Sunday, though.

Please let us know on which days and times you and Seaglass will be available for "get togethers." georgeob and Cyclo have jobs, so I'm not sure what their schedules will be.

Do we have any more committed by date and time? We're trying to get a head count - even this early. Merry Andrew and Seaglass will be here on Monday, August 20, and Francis will be here on Sunday, August 26. The only other people having made "committments" to be here are georgeob, Cyclo, and ci.
We need head counts to decide on venues and other activities - if that's your bag. I'm sorta running this boat without a rudder.

As I said, I have to play it by ear - if I can make it then I'd be up on
Sunday the 26th as well, but only for the day. The 25th I need to attend
a wedding and the 27th is already a workday for me.
All I need is a good restaurant and nice company

I think we can arrange that. If I have it correctly Cicerone, Francis, Cycloptichorn, and perhaps some others will be here on the 26th.

How about that! Over 2,900 hits on this thread, and we're having six to seven people coming this month. Looking forward to it!

I'm now looking into flights - what airport is best? There appear to be four. And what's a good B&B - if you know of any... or which area would be best?

I like Chestnut Street...
the last hotel I stayed in, to go to SF photo show, was drecky, so I won't name it. Haven't stayed at a B & B there, but would look in the area.

I've always gone through SFO, which is the worst possible choice re delays. People seem to like Oakland airport, and I dunno about San Jose - but CI would for sure.

Just talking, not going...
I went to the last one, had really good time, as I think we all did.

Mame, If you come through San Jose, I can take you to San Francisco with me. San Jose airport is only about 10 minutes from where we live.

That's sweet of you, CI. I'll look into that later today. I have to look at a map.
