Now the interesting thing about that is that I remember reading a couple years ago an article that followed up on the first wave of those "I was gay but Jesus changed me to straight" folks, and what had happened in their lives after a couple years, and it turned out that after the first rush of the brainwashing faded, nature reasserted itself, they droppped out of the whole cultlike "christian" thing and went back to what they had been--which was gay. The conversions don't seem to last.

If anyone stops exercising their spirit it will go to sleep and the flesh nature takes over again. The brain has to continue to be "washed" as you call it.

Romans 10:17 "faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the SPOKEN word of God." go hear the word preached & taught.

I'm convinced that homosexuality is physiological. Scientists have found certain bodily differences between gay and straight people.

Thus, it is wrong and stupid for the general to deem homosexuality as immoral.

Yes, it is, but it is not necessarily wrong and stupid to deem it abnormal or a malfunction. And for God's sake don't ask me to define normal.

Why for god's sake . . . does she get upset when you start defining terms?

B9, please define "normal."

A relatively small percentage of people have red hair. Could it be rational and intelligent to say that these people are abnormal and malfunctioning? Hardly!

We all know what normal is , but everyone is set with a media induced fear complex. Grow up fearful slaves. Un-hive your mind from the brainwashing of the Privately Owned & Operated Foreign Anti-American "Federal Reserve System" Agenda.

Really, Michael? We do? And do you actually think you fit within most people's definition of "normal"? Why would you think that?

I think (though I don't necessarily agree) Michael was saying that most people think hetero is normal, and homosexual isn't. To pretend he was referring to some broader reading of "normal" is disingenuous.

The primary useage of the term 'normal' is with respect to the central tendencies of the characteristics of objects in groups. In this coontext, homosexuality is decidedly abnormal, and heterosexuality is normal.

The moral or judgemental overtones that often accompany the use of the term are as varied as the prejudgements and experience of the users. Many are inaccurate and unfair. However, not all are so. People are influenced by their concrete observations and experiences, as well as their somewhat fixed points of view.

Coontext? Laughing Is that anything like "nappy headed?"

It's not the world "normal" that is negative, but the word "abnormal" which in psychology has a decidedly negative connotation. Are there still those who live in the Dark Ages before homosexuality was officially disassociated with abnormal?

If it's like alcoholism, then I suppose a 12 step program would work. I can just see the meetings now. It could take over from drinking establishments as the hot pick up place to go.

I'd like to see your picture & genealogy & know a little about your family lightwizard. Also why you're online. Curious who & what kind of people come with such wild ideas. What's their background, etc. I've continually found the WWW nearly stacked full of not your average freaks. Talking about the extreme left's fringe groups HQ online, and the extremists of the extreme lefties thinking they are the norm and everyone else are the freaks. Ya I'm strange because I wouldn't hire a transvestite to work playing the organ at my church I guess, but that is a crime now under california state law. So now you have your norms, just because inter-racial marriage was repealed from being a felony in 28 states in a 1967 supreme court decision , does that mean 300 years of American law outlawing it is now the abnormal?

Now just take the average joe's view on basic homosexuality being not normal. He will have 99% or more of the people trying to convince him he is now acting abnormal for not 'revering' homos. Any time homos are spoken about in an irreverant way, (the same way homos may talk about heterosexuals) you're now marked for harassment and have nearly everyone coming down on you. You can only say nice things about homos, nothing else, not even neutral things or you're going to be attacked by people like Lightwizard.

There is no law in California for forcing a non-profit church to hire a transvestite to play the organ. We're you even considering one to play with your organ? Actually, there is no criminal law refusing anybody work due to race, sex, age, sexual orientation or whatever.

My genealogy and what I look like or my family is frankly none of your business, Sully is close enough and what I did include in my profile. 99% of what people?

Besides, your reverence is not required.

I have a friend who is homosexual and I make fun of his homo behavior all the time. Totally irreverent. He does the same to me regarding my hetero behavior. So I guess it all depends whether you are doing it with tongue in cheek or if you're just being a hateful ignorant piece of **** scumbag.

Well stated, Kicky. Laughing

(I think they could be sensitive being referred to as "breeders.")

Please excuse me now because I have to go "attack" someone else. GeorgeObiWan was likely mortally wounded.

Wanna bet, I rent my clothes that day and wept when the governor gray davis signed it into law back in 2003. then I had to give it to Jesus, He did fortell there must be a great falling away and for the Christian people to first be made a tiny minority before the AntiChrist can come and also be promoted and accepted.

If I showed you 10 stories of people getting sent to jail over issues with not hiring transvestites to lead the worship services, I'm sure you'd still just take sides with the transvestite. We always get these weird types in cyber world.

Weird -- you certainly pegged yourself there, didn't you. 10 stories of arrests, huh. I guess they might send them all to one building.

The only problem with all of this crap is that the story of jesus (and the bible) is nothing more than a superstitious plagarism. Nearly the same story was told 4000 years earlier by the egyptians. Only, the names were changed. It's all bullshit.

Yes, and he JC never specifically condemned homosexuality -- leave that to the quaint and heavily edited Old Testament. The Twelve Apostles were just comrades in the cause but, of course, today Jesus would be accused of sexism and discrimination. I also understand that the Last Supper actually began with shrimp cocktails.
