I really was genuinely interested in the Bush supporter take on the Gonzales disaster. It's not a trap, I swear. Anyone?

Paris calls off festival of US culture after threats

• Letters claiming al-Qaida link force postponement
• Event aimed at celebrating Franco-US relationship

Kim Willsher in Paris
Tuesday May 22, 2007
The Guardian

A festival due to be held in Paris this weekend to celebrate American music and culture has been called off after death threats from an anti-US group claiming links to al-Qaida.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/france/story/0,,2085185,00.html

(McT) Demonstrating again what is already clear, that the policies and actions of this criminal US regime has soured international relations probably for generations to come.

Is it nice to know that Bush's invasion of Iraq has made this world a better and safer place to live.

If things are so good now just think how much better they would be if we dropped nukes on Iran?

I wouldn't put it past Bush to nuke Iran; he calls himself the "war president." He's accomplished what most leaders never have; increased terrorism around the world.

THis is interesting...

Carter is now backpedaling on his comments about Bush.

He is now saying that his remarks were "misinterpreted"
How is that possible?
He was quite specific.

I would admit that most of us have "foot in mouth disease" as we get older. If you're free of this disease, you're either a liar or has poor memory. Past and current presidents are not immune.

He probably thought ex-presidents should be more gracious. Politeness and social grace is a Southern tradition, after all. But the smirking chimp and all his works must sorely try all Mr Carter's diplomatic instincts.

Yep, all great news for the upper-upper middle class and the ultra rich.

Not so great if you don't have at least 100k in your 401k, you're ARM is expiring and your housing payment is jumping up, your job was outsourced to India, since you lost your job, you don't have health insurance but needed an emergency appendectomy and had to give the ER/hospital the 15k in your savings account to avoid claiming bankruptcy which is no longer allowed due to the BK laws that passed recently, and you had to max out your last credit card to buy your kid braces.

But hey, if you can afford those 70 million houses that are skyrocketing in NYC then you're doing great.

But most of us are happy if we can afford HDTV and the new iPhone when it comes out. That's all that matters right?
