you read it here first !
wouldn't it have been better to have wise counsel prevail rather than going helter-skelter into iraq ?
surely there were plenty of warnings , but ALL were ignored and rejected !
anyone who expressed a different opinion was declared a KNOW-NOTHING !

It became "unpatriotic" to criticize this administration and the war.

Sorry.
A personal remark
Blueflame and my poor self had warned beforelaunching the non-sensical barbaric war in Abuzz.
Blueflame is a critical American and I am a keen observer of American politics.
Without remorse and regrets I think Blueflame and me can sleep well.
Vote a person who disapprove barbaric war.

The whole world is of the opinion that Iraq misadventure is barbarism pure.

Now, Now, don't get upset young fella. Truth is better than fantasy.
You don't know what the whole world's opinion about Iraq is, much less what is valid about the whole world's opinion about Iraq, any more than I do.

However, I do know this:
Quote:

IRAQ VIOLENT DEATHS
2006
Jan = 1423; 46 per day.
Feb = 1443; 52 per day.
Mar = 1764; 57 per day.
Apr = 1689; 56 per day.
May = 2083; 67 per day.
Jun = 2423; 81 per day.
Jul = 3127; 101 per day.
Aug = 2738; 88 per day.
Sep = 2396; 80 per day.
Oct = 2926; 94 per day.
Nov = 2963; 99 per day.
Dec = 2654; 85 per day.

2007
Jan = 2796; 90 per day.
Feb = 2465; 88 per day.
Mar = 2564; 83per day.
Apr = 2416; 81 per day.
May = 2731; 88 per day.
Jun = 2085; 70 per day.
Jul = 2531; 82 per day.
Aug = 2323; 72 per day.
Sep = 1220; 41 per day.
Oct = 1150; 37 per day.
Nov = 977; 33 per day.
Dec = 902; 29 per day*

*Preliminary figures.

And I do know this from Encyclopedia Britannica Books of the Year:

As of December 31, 2002, Total Iraq violent Deaths since January 1, 1979 = 1,229,210.

And I do know this from IBC:

As of November 30, 2007, Total Iraq Violent Deaths since January 1, 2003 = 87,683.

And thus, I do know this:

Daily Average Violent Deaths in Iraq--PRE and POST January 1, 2003:

PRE = 1/1/1979 - 12/31/2002 = 1,229,210/ 8,766 days = 140 per day;
POST = 1/1/2003 - 11/30/2007 = 87,683/1,795 days = ….. 49 per day;
PRE / POST = 140/49 = 2.87.

What do you really know?

You THINK you can sleep well? Don't you know whether or not you can sleep well?

Barbaric war is a redundant phrase.

I disapprove of war. I also disapprove of people who start wars. I approve of people who try to end a war once other people start it. Furthermore, I approve of wars being truly ended and not fantasized to have been ended.

Yes, I REALLY give a damn about the average Iragi, about the above average Iraqi, and about the below average Iraqi.

What do you REALLY give a damn about?

Well, Saddam is GONE now, so why stay?

I give a damn about the WORLD mate. Something you can't see a lot of with your head shoved so far up your American ass.

Must be frustrating for you and Bush that Iran is not an aggressive country. Why won't they give you just one little excuse to attack? Damn inconsiderate of them. Pity you've already used the fake WMD card, huh?

Sadam was hanged with one charge.
The rest of the charges are not followed( obviously because many of the criminals around the globe have to face the same fate because of their connections with Saddam- Amen)

Not frustrating to me that Iran continues to not be an agressive country. I'd like Iran to hold that course.

I think there were two valid reasons to attack Afghanistan and Iraq. The first reason was that al-Qaeda declared and made war against America. The second reason was that al-Qaeda established training camps in Afghanistan and in Iraq (after we invaded Afghanistan). Bush's other reasons, if any, are irrelevant.

Who started that war between Iraq and Iran. Oh, yes, this idiot remembers now. It was Saddam Hussein. Sound familiar?

I've long since forgotten how much I really know. It's too much for me to remember at my age.

Only one charge was needed. The rotter could only be hanged once.

Where there is one Saddam there are probably more Saddams.

Well, I know a couple (actually more) of rotters in this country, and they're still running free. They broke both international and domestic laws and our Constitution.

Oh, my!
What international laws and domestic laws and what in our Constitution--"the supreme Law of the Land"--did they brake (i.e., violate)?
