@edgarblythe,
On 383a. edgar, I truly believe it's normal to have rough patches in a marriage. I know we've had our share, but we will be celebrating our 50th in 2013.
@edgarblythe,
My sincerest Happy Birthday wishes to you, Edgar!
Mine is in 3 days. Rumor has it I'll be on 'this side' to observe it. One way or the other, I will observe it. At least on this side there may be cake.
@Ragman,
Ditto for me~! HAPPY BIRTHDAY.
Thanks for the birthday wishes peoples. I need to look up the quote from **** my dad says, on birthdays.
CI, I wasted six years on a first marriage, or it could have been 39.
Correction. The first marriage produced my son and one of my daughters. On balance, no waste at all.
@edgarblythe,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you.
I think you are a cupcake because of your kind sweetness and I think you should eat a real cupcake because it's your birthday.
@Diane,
Hi, diane. Thanks for your kind words. I guess I better get a cupcake before the day ends. Thanks.
386. I think there is a dead possum or maybe a cat under the house. I have been under there three times and have yet to find it.
387a. I think Punky the dog may have amused my son in law and grandson yesterday. Grandson found her ball in the yard. After he threw it to her, she ran away with it and buried the ball.
388a. I think the steak I bought at the store and consumed, rare, last night, was the most delicious meat I have had in quite some time.
389a. I think it great that a nice shower fell this morning. More is forecast.
380a. I think the squirrels and birds in the back yard ought to tolerate my watching from the window. They don't.
381a. I think with pleasure: I awakened to rain.
382a. I think with repugnance: The dead something is not where I have been searching. But I cannot deconstruct the entire house to find it. PU.
383a. I think, having browsed quotes of Rabelais, how hasty to have dismissed his works, when I was very young. Now I have to go back and give them an old person's read.
384a. I think my Internet service is up to par this morning. It was spotty all of yesterday.
385a. I think with amusement of the ducks in the park. Each one has a distinct personality. My favorites are the scraggly black one we named Daffy and a gray one that yesterday was lying against the wife's arm as it ate the corn and sunflower seeds out of the bag.
386a. I think I managed to get the smell out of the house yesterday. Not a fun episode.
387a. I think the temp must be about sixty this morning. Wonderful.
388a. I think if Rick Perry were my president my sense of disaster would be complete.
389a. I think we have given the military campaigns a blank check for too long.
390a. I think old time members who leave a2k should stay on, but make use of the ignore function for those annoying posters instead. I have about three pages of ignored users. Not bragging, just sharing, in the hope others will do the same when their enjoyment of the site diminishes.
391a. I think I will paint stairways this day. The other guy has been doing it, but the project's going too slow.
392a. I think I give to beggars in large part because our situations have been interchangeable at different points in my life.
393a. I think the squirrels in the back yard are getting used to my face in the window. Yesterday they tolerated my watching as they hustled away the peanuts I left them.
394a. I think reading over much of my older prose is an embarrassment.
395a. I think I tend to ascribe anthropomorphic characteristics to too many people.
396a. I think about good riddance to summer. Almost any change has got to be for the better.
397a. I think that although I oppose the death penalty, when one such as the man that dragged another person behind his truck for three miles is offed by the system, I feel no sympathy. He had it easy, compared to his victim.
398a. I think I am anticipating tonight's episode of The Mentalist more than any new show of the season.
399a. I think my new work partner will make it possible for me to be totally part time again, leaving me freedom in the afternoon and evening to pursue my other interests, without fear of interruption. This is huge.
400a. I think the neighbors across the way ought to be horsewhipped. The woman gets onto her puppy, chasing it back into the unfenced yard. A short time later, the wife and I are about to drive away, but pause for another car to pass. The same puppy strolls in front of the other car and gets clipped. It runs home, apparently bruised a bit, but not seriously injured. I watch it a few minutes, to see if it is okay. There are at least four loose dogs over there. I need to call about this, today.
@Diane,
I just discovered it was edgar's birthday about 7 days ago (depending on where you live.)
How did we miss that?
Happy belated birthday, edgar!
@cicerone imposter,
Thanks, CI. It was a laidback, fun birthday. Always good to have birthdays. It can be habit-forming, hopefully
@Ragman,
And happy belated birthday to you, too, Ragman.

I am so absent minded, I had to check back and see if I wished ragman a happy birthday. Sorry, I missed it. Well, belated wishes. And wishes to every other birthday I am missing.
@edgarblythe,
thank you, Edgar, and MsOlga.
401a. I think Peace and Love. Msolga's thread has me reliving the 60s.
402a. I think today will be a fun day. Have to wire the ceilings for two ceiling fans. The apartments were designed for lamps, not ceiling fixtures.
403a. I think The Mentalist was just a big tease. Turns out, Jane killed someone other than Red John. All part of the game these two are playing.
404a. I think it odd that they turned our single lane road into double lanes, with a turn lane, but allowed the traffic to converge on single lanes at the bridge across the tracks. Beyond that point it resumes the double lanes. I can only assume they are reserving the widening of the bridge for a later date. I can't figure why no activity has been in evidence to that end.
405a. I think the nights are so nice that I have been able to turn off the A/C and sleep under a fan.
@edgarblythe,
Careful, Ed. If you stop to think don't forget to start again.
Honi soit qui mal y pense
@neko nomad,
I don't thimp my thimper will quit its functioning, in the near run. May in thirty years or so, when I get really old.
