356a. I think this morning about a film starring Cliff Robertson, titled "Charley." It's based on the short story, "Flowers For Algernon." Robertson died over the weekend.
357a. I think, too, of films about Vietnam. I had a long-standing rule about those things, never to watch any of them. I had made a lone exception of Good Morning Vietnam. Recently, I broke the rule and picked up a copy of Born on the Fourth of July. I have watched it three or four times, because it grabs me on many levels and won't let go. Over the past weekend, I came across Full Metal Jacket. With this one, I did not fare as well. The boot camp scenes were superbly done. The drill sergeant was perfect. Once they arrived in Vietnam, the characters were hard to keep differentiated. I often did not remember which man was which. By the end I started falling asleep and had to back it up to catch the final scenes. Did not really care for the second half. Before I instituted my rule of No Vietnam, I had already seen Apocalypse Now. I had a similar reaction to it.
358a. I think today will be exciting. Our new maintenance 'man' will be here. I think the residents will love her.
359a. I think my new bird feeding setup is going to work out very well. The squirrels were around it, but never reached it.
360a. I think yesterday was a good day, in football, although one of my favorite teams was soundly thrashed.

@edgarblythe,
Ah, there's the answer to my question.
Thank you, edgar.
I think I'll have a snack of buttered raisin toast now. Smile

@msolga,
Good, olga. I went overboard this past weekend. Drank some beer, ate some ice cream - Generally violated all my health rules. But, will make it up this week.

361a. I think our new hand will do wonders for the property. My primary focus must be to get out of her way and let her go at it.
362a. I think I will start making plans to make items to sell from my home, to make extra money and to have something going when I am forced to retire. I feel strong right now, but the physical aspect of the job could unexpectedly get to me, since I will turn 69 in a few days.
363a. I think I will discard all these floppy discs.
364a. I think I may break out my Nervous Norvus records this week. I have not tortured anybody with them, lately.
365a. I think of songs that describe one, in one's own mind. For myself, I think: Cement Mixer, Putty Putty.

note: I refuse to edit out the overuse of the word 'make' in 362a.

Aw, you've gotta do that from time to time, edgar!
What's the fun, otherwise?

366a. I think lightwizard will be greatly missed. He left a2k, but, I had him friended on facebook.
367a. I think I am a little frightened of facebook. It is almost unrestrained in influence and power these days.
368a. I think our nation is screwed, when a substantial part of the population thinks it is fine for the haves to crush the have-nots.
369a. I think Punky the dog is an enigma, wrapped in a doggy treat, wrapped in a chewed up new towel. A salesman bounced up the steps yester-evening and ratatat tatted the door. What did she do? Poked her head out the doggie door and then merely sniffed him. As I sent the desperate-acting salesman away, Punky resumed her nap on the floor. A person with legitimate business, such as a meter reader, gets the treatment: bared teeth, hair standing on end, ferocious barking, willingness to attack. A robber would likely get help with carrying out the valuables, if I had valuables.
370a. I think my job has become more of an adventure, lately. New challenges. Best part: I feel up to it.

371a. I think I awoke with Buddy Holly on my mind. "I'm young - And I'm free - And that's a real fine way to be -" Buddy didn't get a chance to see that being old can be all right also.
372a. I think the days are much shorter. The nights cool down a bit now. Ten percent to thirty percent rain chances every one of the next seven days - Here is hoping -
373a. I think the fig tree that I quit watering is somehow hanging on. The bald cypress is struggling, but not dead. Just one good shower would be helpful.
374a. I think the road improvements around my part of town is the bee's knees, the bear's pajamas and pretty good. My drive time to work has been cut from twelve minutes to ten.
375a. I think I am a bit dismayed that the trend seems to be smaller systems with smaller keyboards. I am hoping the personal computer is not about to be phased out.

376a. I think the thread I began, about grudges, has taken away my quality think time this morning.
377a. I think I may get back on my part time schedule, today, and mostly, from now on.
378a. I think I am onto a lost sprinkler line at the apartments. I had often wondered why there was no irrigation in that area. This week, I discovered a sprinkler head, then two, then a third, due to extreme drying, with the drought. All that's to be done is to get it a source of water and change the heads. I'm a hero, once again.
379a. I think I better get out of here.

381a. I think on mortality, on this, the anniversary of my birth. My brother in law, who is four years my senior, had a stroke the other day. They think he can walk again, with a bit of therapy, but he has not gotten beyond the 'tremor' stages as of now. (The nurse told him, "I am off for the weekend. See you Monday." Will of iron bro in law tells his wife, "Does she really think I will still be here Monday?")
382a. I think I feel like the seven dwarfs, after they come home and discover Snow White has cleaned up their home. The new maintenance girl cleaned out the shop and organized it, making it truly functional, for the first time ever. But she was without pity, where some of my old stuff was concerned. Some of it had questionable value and some merely sentiment. I walked in and it was gone. Nobody knows the trouble I've seen - -
383a. I think my wife makes me happy, still, after 33 years. We have had a few rough patches, but on balance -
384a. I think I may get to see at least one of my children today. But she was not 100% certain she would make it.
385a. I think I will spend some time in Lowe's today. Mulling project ideas.
