711. I think fathers day was rather satisfying. Had a barbecue in my daughter's garage, because it was raining a flood most of the time. But, the love was there.

712. I think about turning 65, and I wonder how life will change. Sure, we can hold on to our dreams and goals as we age, we can spit in the grim reaper's face. But the fact remains, we are no longer the same. Be interesting to see how it plays out for me.

713. I think I'm going to be a ten times grandfather. My second to youngest daughter is expecting.

714. I think what an idiot Bush is to be concerned with congress's spending, when he has been the most wildly wasteful leader we have ever had.

715. I think I will select five family photos for tomorrow's I Think segment.

I think any child would be lucky to have you for a father or a grandfather.
Happy Father's Day Edgar and congratulations on your new grandbaby.

718. I was born into this kind of environment. On the right is my father, a few weeks or months before he was murdered for his car.

That was one docile steer. I have another photo, in which she is basically hugging it.

Edgar- Docile or not, I think your mom was one brave woman...but then she was a Texan- right?

I think the picture of you and your brothers with your mother is priceless, and beautiful. You were all sweet-faced children and she was lovely.
(How is your brother doing?)

I think your wife is beautiful too, and the expression on your face as you look at her says it all.

What wonderful photos- thanks for sharing them.

The brother sitting on Mom's lap is in the hospital this morning. Very low white blood cell count, bad blood pressure, reacting to one of the medicines. I'm going to try to see him this weekend.

The brother on the right side of the photo was killed when a truck rear ended his Fiat spyder, in 1969.

Edgar- your mother was absolutely beautiful in a really charming way. You weren't/aren't bad looking yourself. I can see that kind of spritely (is that a word- what I mean is something in the eyes and smile) resemblance. I love looking at pictures- thanks for posting these.

Thanks, aidan. I think I will drop in a few pics, from time to time. This thread will continue, until it reaches # 1,000.

I think Edgar and my dad may have crossed paths, either hitchhiking, in the Navy or living outside.
