401? I think Reyn is deliberately avoiding his birthday party thread. A shame, since the bar's just been opened.

Cool

401. I think we've reversed course, in the sense that minds were expected to expand in past decades. Now, we are asked to make them contract.

402. I think Mayor White got it right, when he charged that deregulation of electric is a rip-off that hits the poor much harder than necessary. One of his proposals is to roll back bills by 15%.

403. I think my wife is recovered now. She uses her arm the way she always did in the past. She says she may drop the rehab sessions after this week.

404. I think I caught a glimpse of what black people experience almost daily. I was in a woman's apartment with the Orkin man, a black American, when she began saying to me, as he listened from the kitchen, a few yards away, "I was raised never to be predjudiced, but, black people - '

As we walked away from there, the Orkin guy said, "I didn't want any part of that conversation." "I did what I could to change her perception," I replied.

405. I think we all need hugs tonight.

Glad to hear about your wife, Edgar. Glad she's healed.

I agree about the hugs.

406. I think we meet so many sweet old ladies only because they are too old to make any more trouble.

407. I think I am getting past the time I need to be installing new floors. I repaired the sub floor on an apartment today. When I got behind the washer, to lay tile, the straining to work in such a tight space was a bit much.

408. I think the Bush administration is systematically seeking to deny the vote to voters most likely to support Democrats.

409. I think the TV show, "Friends," is so devoid of content, it boggles my head it was a hit for so long.

410. I think the Lex Luther on Smallville is the only good characterization I have seen of that villain.

i think that can be said for most shows made since the early 80's

and the some of the good ones go on to long

i think back to the holy trinity (IMO) of the 70's, all in the family, mash and barney miller

all very solid shows

411. I think I need to change the CD in my truck. Been listening to Revolver five days straight.

412. I think I will quit watching the news a few days. Been watching the Nasa shootings ever since I got home.

413. I think I have made up my mind that a phased withdrawal from Iraq ought to be the next step.

414. I think cell phone use while driving ought to be in time of emergency only.

415. I think the Dixie Chicks may have the right politics. I haven't heard any records by them that caught my attention.

Is this The Beatles album? I remember having the LP as a teen. It's a goody.

Beatles, for sure. Here There and Everywhere, Ealinor Rigby, Yellow Submarine, She Said, I'm Only Sleeping, and so on. Not a clinker in the lot.

Aww, now you got me feeling all nostalgic and all....and just after having a birthday and all.

Man, that seems like a million years ago, those tunes!

Some of us never quit litening. We add new, but cling to the old.
